Vehicle Detail

*This item has been relisted for auction as the previous winning bidder did not make payment or contact me* History: This is a unique eye-catching mustang! I guarantee wherever you go with this, you'll be the center of attention on the road. I've lost count at how many times people have taken pictures or given me a thumbs up while driving past me or waiting in traffic. I purchased the vehicle in 29 Palms, California in 2008. This mustang was originally bought in San Diego and spent all of its time in California. At the time it had only 42,000 miles on it and still had the original cream yellow body paint. I've done all the mechanical work and upgrades myself with the help of various certified mechanics over the years. Because the original paint was chipped and peeling, I chose to have it professionally repainted in a black and red scheme to make the mustang stand out more. Additionally, with the true dual exhaust, this thing sounds like a V8 and has a very aggressive sound for being only a 200 Inline 6 engine. I brought it to Pennsylvania from California via a flatbed trailer in 2013. It was my daily driver for the longest but because of my job, I don't use it often enough anymore to warrant holding onto it any longer. The mustang now has a Pennsylvania title along with current registration and safety/emissions inspection. Despite the few issues listed below, the mustang turns on and drives fine enough to get you from A to B, but does need some work to become a more reliable driver. Condition/Known Issues/Defects: The engine is running at reduced compression. In order to fix this, the engine block will need to be bored and the cylinder head will need the valve seats replaced. While it doesn't burn oil out the exhaust, it does get excessive blow-by pressure as a result and you will actually lose oil out the crankcase through fumes. This is most noticeable at highway speeds but typically negligible at street cruising speeds (50mph or under). Considering the cost of new pistons, rings, valve seats, and machine work, you'd be looking at about $500-$800 to get the engine back to 100%. All parts can be easily purchased through Classic Inlines, a company that specializes in this particular Inline 6 engine. The front seal on the transmission has a very slow leak and will need to be replaced. I will provide a full transmission gasket set with purchase of the vehicle at no extra charge. If you decide to pull the engine block to have it bored, this will be a fairly quick fix that can be done at the same time. The chrome trim around the rear windshield is peeling back slightly in the bottom right corner. This can easily be fixed with either a new trim or some adhesive. There is no water leak from this and is entirely a cosmetic issue. The body, interior, hood, and trunk were professionally repainted in 2011. Original color of the car was cream yellow. There are a few minor scratches and blemishes that have occurred since it was repainted, but nothing that stands out or that can't be covered up with touch-up paint. There is little to no rust on the vehicle including underneath, as well as no parts rusted out or holes in the frame. The majority of the chrome trim (both bumpers for example) is new and has very minor pitting that isn't noticeable when waxed. Interior is original leather seats and upholstery. There is a slight 1 inch tear in the top left shoulder of the driver seat. Front vinyl dashboard is new.Rear quarter window regulators need to be replaced. They stay up fine but are touchy about going up and down.
