Long wheel base G Wagon for sale. VIN # 46023317010038. This was imported back in the 80s by a wealthy man in Texas. It was sold to a man in OK who restored classic import vehicles. The engine was rebuilt and clutch rebuilt. New tires and rims were put on the vehicle also. A general tune up was performed on the vehicle and it sat for a few years. I bought the vehicle last year to further restore. Overall, its a solid wagon, just needs some TLC. This is a 1981, so it has some wear. Front transfer case needs a new gear and rebuild kit. What you see is what you get. I have nothing to hide...so ask questions. The answers will post for all to see below as the auction ensues. A $1000 deposit is due at auction end. I wrote this is a 5 door in the listing. This vehicle has 6 doors all together. I mentioned above that the vehicle has minor wear and tear. The AC compressor is in the vehicle but will need service. There is no belt right now. I don't know the condition of the compressor. The heater seems to blow ok but may need a diverter or hose or a fan motor lubricated. I am not a mechanic, nor do I know a ton about this vehicle. This is why I encourage prospective buyers to ask questions so they will be in writing and there are no surprises. Hopefully you can rotate them with ebay. I will try and work that out. Undercarriage is pretty solid. The only rust is on a few spots on the exterior. The little black foam bumpers around the vehicle started to rust around the hardware in places. The main supports/frame of the vehicle are nice. There are cosmetic rust spots but no framework needed in my opinion. I also wanted to add that within the last few days the alternator failed to charge my battery. I'm having the same mechanic come check it out again. It may be a loose wire or connection somewhere. I am not changing this listing...but I just had the alternator rebuilt within a week and did not know until I found out the battery wasn't being charged when I returned home. Its the gear inside the differential and the pinion that need replaced. I was trying to convey that by answering all the questions and I believe most people knew what I was talking about. The axle is not broken, its just the inner workings that need replaced (mainly the gear and pinion). I'm not a mechanic and am relying on other mechanics advice on this vehicle. I also just answered a whole lot of questions from another person, so please look at those updates. Thank you
