- 1998 Lexus SC400 - 93,8XX miles and in very nice condition. - “Renaissance Red” paint is original and in very nice shape. Just some small rock chips on the front. Tan leather interior. The front seats are in fine shape and all the electric adjustment functions work. There are no rips or tears in the leather. - Original (optional) chrome wheels and gold toned emblems go nicely with the paint color. - Tires were new when I bought the car 5 years ago and now have about 20,XXX miles on them. - All systems in the car are fully operational including the 12CD Nakamichi sound system. - Oil changed every three to four thousand miles since my purchase five years ago. - Engine compartment is very clean, as is the trunk. The original spare tire is in place. - Electric sunroof. - Car has been stored each of the five winters I’ve owned it, so no exposure to snow/salt during my ownership. The car spent much of its life in the southwest before I bought it. It was bought new in California; I bought it in Utah. This is evident by how clean the engine compartment and underside of the car are. - The car has no accident history; all panels are original. - The (suspension) rear struts and gas shocks for the trunk were replaced in 2013. - My maintenance records (five years) go with the car. - Non-smoker, title in hand; well maintained. On Apr-14-15 at 18:03:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I received a question about whether the timing belt has been replaced. This inquiry prompted me to look in the "Owner's Manual Supplement" where the former owner had his dealership log all of the maintenance. He had all dealer maintenance logged in this book for the first nine years....about 65,000 miles. Per the log, belt replacement is recommended around 90,000 miles. This log shows that the timing belt was indeed changed out at 60,200 miles in April, 2007. On Apr-16-15 at 15:18:44 PDT, seller added the following information: A couple of folks have asked me what my reserve is. I think not divulging the reserve better serves to keep the excitement level of the auction up. That said, I do want to sell the car to make way for other priorities in life. The reserve I set reasonably reflects the price point that other, equivalent SC400/300s have sold for in recent months.
