Vehicle Detail

Bidding is for a factory automatic 1966 Chevy Big Back Window C10 hot rod with a clear title that I purchased five years ago. It’s been an awesome truck and anywhere I’ve been people always walk up to ask about it. I don’t drive this truck nearly as much as I use to and it’s been sitting on the farm for the past year, which has prompted me to sell it. eBay wouldn't let me post a link to the “you tube” video where there is a walk around and you can hear it run. Email me for a you tube video or search under 1966 Chevy C10 Big Back Window About eighteen months ago I did the following modifications:• Rebuilt 350 engine (it has a camshaft upgrade and roller rockers)• New Edelbrock carburetor• New Cadillac style air cleaner• Had the transmission (TH350) rebuilt with a shift kit and added a trans cooler added a new shift linkage• Moved the fuel tank to the bed of the truck (tank is from Boyd Welding) and the old one is still in place• Stainless braided fuel hose and Fram HP fuel filter• Radiator re-cored and cleaned out• New drive shaft• HEI Conversion The reserve on this truck isn’t set a crazy price but I’m really in no hurry or desperate need of getting rid of it. If you have questions then ask as the truck is 49 years old! There are several spots on the truck that rust is noticeable but I left them be since it just blends in with theme of the truck. The truck does not have power steering or brakes so keep that in mind and is something you may want to change later on. The truck isn’t painted but it’s a turquoise colored primer instead. Whoever decides to buy the truck might want to have some “clear” sprayed on the truck or strip it down for a restore. Truck will also need to have the intake gasket replaced as it does leak some oil from the front passenger side. Easy task to do but I haven’t had the time and will provide the Fel-Pro gaskets that I had ordered to do so. License plates are not included in the sale but if you'd like them, then we can work something out. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project! On Apr-12-15 at 16:11:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Scammers need not bid on the truck as it will not leave my possession until funds have cleared my bank. Non-paying bidders will be turned over to eBay to be dealt with. Truck can stay where it is for thirty days free but no longer. On Apr-13-15 at 04:04:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Don't bid if you don't intend to pay as the last bid was cancelled. If you have 0 feedback, you'll not be permitted to bid on this item.On Apr-17-15 at 16:57:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Answers to questions I've received via email: -How much rust? The rust on the truck is pictured on on the passenger front quarter panel. Floor boards are solid and don't have any holes that I can see. If you look under the truck there is some on the backside of the rockers but nothing bad. -Is the truck street legal? The truck is street legal and is currently registered as a classic. It had an inspection done even though I didn't need one a year or so ago. I'll remove that sticker off of the window along with the DOD decals. Tires on truck have 60% left on them and should be fine if you choose to drive it home for those that live local. -Exhaust that's on the truck?Truck has a dual exhaust system and magnaflow mufflers. I also have some ceramic coated headers on the motor that were added when motor was rebuilt. -Does the truck run hot?Not even close, I've run the truck in the Texas summers and it comes no where near to running hot. I had a radiator shop completely redo the radiator when motor was rebuilt. -Shipping?Choose the shipping company and set that up on your own. I won't be responsible for that part of the sale! I will help load the truck and make sure its set and ready to go. Truck can set in place for up to thirty days while you figure something out. The last truck I had shipped cost me about 700 from Florida and hope that gives you some idea of cost. This again is on you and shipping is not included. -Is the bed of the truck still wood?Yes, I would replace it though but its not in bad shape for general use. -What was rebuilt on the motor?Everything was completely gone through and or replaced from the carburetor, intake, vintage corvette valve covers, new oil pan, air cleaner, headers, flywheel, starter, alternator, new HEI distributor, and battery cables. -Does the fuel gauge work?Yup, new wires were run when I installed the tank under the bed. -What type of rear diff cover?I believe its just one from Jegs for the GM 12 bolt and I installed it when I went through the rear axle. I also put royal purple synthetic fluid in when I did this.
