Vehicle Detail
1965 Ford F250 One owner. Barn find - I bought it. I am just a custodian of it to get it to its proper new owner. This truck shows less than 8,200 miles. Now here is where everyone will say "yah, right" it's rolled over. May have. May not have. It has had a large camper on it since the day it was driven off the lot in Denver. Never off. I removed the camper, front mounted spare tire, and large side mirrorrs. I still have all of them but felt the serious buyer may not want it all. Now, back to the ridiculous 8,200 mile thing. I have no idea what is real - the pics will allow you to form your own opinion. It certainly drives as if these are the original miles. The interior certainly looks like it has not seen over 100k. Not registered since 1999. Used only for camping. I am in no way guaranteeing original mileage, so I have listed numerous photos to let you decide how to proceed. Since it has been dormant for so long I had to replace the fuel pump, rebuild the carburetor, replace points and condensor, along with spark plugs. This truck drives beautifully. Needs shocks of course, and the brakes work but I have no idea of the condition of the seals. The front cowl appears to have had mounts for the overhead camper struts mounted at some point and when they were removed the body work was very poor - at best - both sides have some ugly going on. (pics) Only one rust spot I could find was underneath the battery box on the drivers side (pics) The camper is not included - I posted the pics so you could see how it was found. If the camper and all associated parts are of interest, something can easliy be worked out with the purchase of the truck. 352 v8 No power steering, no Air Conditioning. Solid, un molested survivor. Paint is aged, has patina, has scratches and is really light under the fuel fill cap. This truck was this man's summer pride and he took great care of it. Labels everywhere telling of height, weight, tire pressures loaded, empty etc There is a reserve. No less than 5 different people have knocked on the door and asked if it was for sale. I told them it was headed to Ebay - they all threw out some big numbers as to what they thought it was worth - the reserve is $1k more than half of these "values." "it's only worth what someone is willing to pay" I don't know where else one could find an original in this condition. Bid high, bid often. Bid to win this classisc survivorOn Apr-12-15 at 08:48:40 PDT, seller added the following information: It is an F250 but EBAY and their damn programmer pinheads know best, so I had to choose their format. I only wanted to list it as a 65 Ford truck pick up pickup. But EBAY'S Infinitesimal wisdom an knowledge won't allow a basic title. I am working on posting more pictures, but EBAY only lets us private party schmucks post 24 pictures. Check back for a link to more pictures -
