Up for auction is this beautiful Porsche 944 manual 5 speed in its original Guard's Red with camel interior. It is all original and has been well maintained, service record dating back to 95'. Most recent work includes timing belt, water pump and brakes. New Perelli P6 tires all around, on like new original staggered Fuchs rims. The alignment is spot on. Car drives true and straight. The trans axle has been replaced with a rebuilt donor. Engine burns no oil and has no oil leaks (clean garage floor) and is running full synthetic oil every 3000 miles. Being a four cylinder this car has excellent fuel economy ( about 28-30 highway). The exterior is fitted with a Euro-kit spoiler, side panels and a rear fairing (improving the appearance and stance of the car) The Guard's Red paint was refreshed in 2005 and garaged and covered since. Painted to a high standard. Color sanded and buffed to a high shine. This is a CALIFORNIA CAR. Absolutely no rust anywhere! Nice and dry its entire life. Exterior rubber in crack free condition with the exception of one minor tear above the driver's side door. Door locks and latches all work well. Doors fit snug and tight as a Porsche should. Spare tire and original tool- kit still stowed in trunk.All lights work as they should including the rear "Porsche" logo lens, turn signals, wipers, fans all work as should. gauges are the original black/yellow aviator style. Very vintage while night driving...beautiful. Interior carpets are presentable, clean and fitted with new Porsche OEM floor mats. Seats show typical popped seams and bolster tears but are covered with brand new, high quality German vinyl. However they are the original seats and should be re-upholstered and kept with the car. Rear seats are without blemish or tears. Head liner is intact and presentable. Rear canopy cover is present and works as it should. All glass and lenses on the car are crack free and intact. Both power windows work as they should. AC has always been serviced and kept updated. Sunroof removes and stows in its original leather sleeve stowed in trunk. This is a fast, reliable, fun automobile that starts on the first turn of the key. Tuned and ready passes California smog. Compliments and head turns will only increase as these cars become more rare. So if you are looking to get into an original 944 as they are going up in value (as all Porsches eventually do), this is a good candidate and you won't want to miss it. You will not be disappointed.
