Up for auction is my 1966 Mercedes Benz 230 SL hardtop/roadster. The vehicle has one seven year old respray with code #568 Signal Red base coat/ clear coat. The interior is MB TEX Bamboo colored and has brand new tan German Square weave carpets. The top was new in 2011 and shows almost ne wear (black canvas). The color combination really pops and this car gets raves at all the cruise ins I attend. The radio has been replaced witha Sony AM/FM-CD player and is capable of playing your Ipod,Ipad, smart phone and android directly through it. This allows you to listen to music on Pandora or any recording you may have. Sorry i do not have the original Becker radio. The engine was rebuilt in 2009 and performs very well. It is peppy and does not smoke at all, and always starts on the first effort. It has a fresh oil and filter change including a new air filter elelment.The voltage regulator and alternator were replaced March 2015. The rare 4 speed shifts and pulls well with a good clutch. The front disc brakes are new March 2015. Rebult calipers, new pads and seals, turned rotors and bearing repack. It brakes smooth and effortlessly. The steering coupling was rebushed and a new idler arm kit was installed February 2015. She has a full set of five new Michelin steel belted radial whitewalls. This vehicle is from Monterey California and was brought to the east coast in August of 2011. It is currently in Florida. The only sheet metal replaced was the drivers side floor front pan. It was done when the vehicle was painted and was done professionally and all is resealed and rustproofed. It is very solid and runs and drives well. The vehicle will also be sold with items not in the photos. These include some spare parts points, rotor, condenser and a distributor cap new. You wont need them for some time as these items were just replaced new in December 2014 along with a new set of Bosch premium spark plug wires.
