Vehicle Detail

1969 Mercury Cyclone GT -- could be a very rare W nosed spoiler by the VIN number “9H15S566938” (original color looks to be red on top and white on bottom) – Bought this car as a personal project but will not have the time to finish. Good running BB 460ci engine (Edelbrock rpm medium rise intake manifold topped with a holly double pumper, brand new electric water pump, aluminum crankshaft pulley, aluminum radiator, and aluminum bracketing, Dual exhaust appears almost new (needs head pipe donuts) – Beefed up front end – c6 automatic trans engages reverse but not drive (haven’t checked into why – could be linkage). Floor boards, trunk, rockers, and body are solid and free of rust. Body has some dents and dings and does have some old bondo in the nose (was probably painted in the 70s with disco rainbow metallic black paint). All glass is in good shape. Factory Tachometer, Interior could use some work but not terrible. I am able to recommend several transport companies in that I have assisted in shipping to: TX, OH, GA, CA, TN, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, etc… This classic is a project, but its pretty rare - if it’s a W nosed spoiler it would be off the charts rare, the only way to find out is through a Marti report. It has at least a Cyclone GT S code 390 designation and will be a street monster if kept in its current configuration. On Mar-27-15 at 06:50:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I am removing the GT designation from the Cyclone sense it cannot be proven from its vin number, which is all I have to go on. A snippet from the internet: "Among other changes to the 1969 Mercury Cyclone GT, the GT was demoted from an official Cyclone model to a mere appearance option group" What I do know by the vin: Originally a 1969 Mercury Cyclone S code 390ci 4 barrel, produced in Lorain OH. Sorry for the confusion this may have caused.
