The 1974 Corvette is the last year for no catalytic converters so its a true dual exhaust system and the only year of the split-seam rear bumper. This 1974 Corvette has been with me since 2001. It has been garage kept and used in season on fair weather days. The Details; The body and fiberglass are in very nice shape and the panel fit is all up to standard. 5k cost alone to repaint it correct to the trim code 22L Corvette Medium Blue in Urethane Base/Clearcoat. I have the original luggage rack which is included but it has some peeling on the chrome and should be replaced or rechromed. The chrome, trim, emblems and glass are in very nice shape. The factory 15” Rally wheels are in clean shape with quality Michelin radial tires. This Corvette looks hot just standing still! The paint is very nice only issue I have had with it since completion is on the hood which developed some tiny pinhead bubbles that came out. I was told this is common perhaps from engine heat. They are difficult to see unless you get right up on the hood. The saddle interior is original. The bucket seats are in pretty good shape, nice dash, drivers door panel has few minor cracks, passenger side is clean, carpets are original, original radio is intact, ps, original steering wheel, console, power 4 wheel disc brakes and much more. Under the hood is mostly factory aside from intake, four-barrel carb. and air cleaner which I upgraded when the engine was rebuilt. I am including the original intake, air cleaner & rubber trim in the sale. Frame is solid and straight. The Mechanics; The heart of this 1974 Corvette is its fully rebuilt four-bolt main #'s matching 350 V-8. Rebuild was done by Precision in Middletown, NY. (well known for there quality engine work) which included rebuilt heads, valves & guides, pistons, rings, rods, cam bearings, cam, crank is original it was polished & balanced, only 2500 break-in miles on the rebuild cost of $3,500.00 for engine rebuild alone. Mated to the smooth shifting turbo 400 automatic transmission (trans fluid is clean it was always properly serviced). All lights wipers and electrical working. This Corvette has much restorative work completed as follows with dual exhaust, upgraded one piece fiberglass rear spring, new upper and lower control arms, all new body mounts installed, headlight system gone through, totally rebuilt engine, Edlebrock Carb, intake and more. This Corvette is tight and excellent to drive. You can get in and drive it with confidence.
