This car has 128k miles and the engine and tranny was maintained by the city of Newark NJ police dept. The good news first. This is law enforcement version of the Chevrolet Impala, the 2009 Impala Police comes equipped with a 3.9-liter V6 engine that produces 230 hp and utilizes active fuel management. A 4-speed automatic transmission and flex fuel E85 capabilities enables the Impala to achieve an EPA estimated 20 mpg 29 mpg Hwy .An improved suspension system allows for smooth and responsive handling while heavy duty steel wheels offer safety and durability. Standard features include bucket seats with extra space between for police equipment, Driver's Information Center and high speed rated tires. Safety is comprised of high strength safety steel body structure, advanced airbag system, anti-lock braking, brake assist, electronic brake distribution, and dynamic vehicle control. This car runs good, the engine and transmission are both working as they should. This well maintained car has no check engine light. This police car has unique features like rubber flooring instead of carpeting for those messy days and easy cleanups. No center console for easier entry and exit from both passenger and drivers seat. In the pic look at the safety steel structure that surrounds the front under the hood. Flex fuel for better gas Milage. The suspension is in very good shape and the tires are also in good shape. All the other seats are in good shape. There are some plugs in the holes that were used as lights and sirens. The radio turns on and works but makes no sound because the speakers were disconnect for service work. The police needed to listen to the police radio not pop radio . I have been driving this car for a few weeks and it is reliable, starts up in the bitter cold every time. The engine is strong and the tranny responds well. Overall this is a good reliable car with character and you will be happy with this one. This car is sold In a unique auction style and should fetch you a great deal.
