Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1986 E30 BMW 325is. This car began its life as a 325es, but has since been upgraded with a full facelift to late-model bumpers, trim, valances, and a 24V M50B25 engine swap from a '92 525i. I have owned this car for about 7 years, and it has always been meticulously maintained and cared for, garaged almost the entire time I have owned it. You will see that the car does in fact have a constructed title, this is due to a minor rear-end collision prior to my owning the car. There was NO frame damage, it was only body damage, and was all perfectly repaired. Unfortunately, the value of the car was overshadowed by the cost of the damage, and it was deemed totaled. The car runs and drives perfectly, has no frame damage or any visible rust, or any that I have ever seen. This car has been an Oregon/Washington car it's whole life, and has never seen a salted road. It has never been in an accident since I have owned it. The paint is in very good condition, but does show its age when viewed up close, I would rate it as a strong 8 out of 10. There are a few small dings here and there, but no significant dents or damage whatsoever, and your usual run of random rock chips here and there, this is expected due to the car's age. Everything that has been modified or upgraded on this car has been done using OEM or better parts, no cheap aftermarket substitutes or knock-off parts. Mileage listed is what is shown on the odometer only, the swapped engine has an known number of miles, miles on the chassis are just over 200k. All major systems of the car function perfectly, it even still has the original stock BMW cassette deck which plays just fine. Modifications and upgrades are as listed below (the steering wheel shown in the listed pictures is NOT included, the car has a stock E30 sport wheel): Engine/Driveline:Swapped 24 Valve Non-Vanos M50B25 engineMost all engine seals and gaskets replaced except head gasketFully integrated (no adapter) wiring harness using OEM C101/X20 connectorsAC and all lines, cruise control, stock engine fan, and washer fluid tank removedCoolant overflow tank removed (uses M42 radiator tank)Engine bay shaved of all un-used bracketsHoles filled/welded and engine bay painted with fine-texture DupliColor bedlinerKAMOTORS cold air intake with carbon fiber shieldE30 M3 complete firewall harness coversValve cover and Oil filter canister cap powdercoated wrinkle redEngine arms powdercoated silver16” SPAL electric fan with custom built brackets on an M42 radiatorZ3 coolant and temp/fan switchResealed E36 steering rack and E36 power steering hosesE34 oil panE28 M5 engine mountsSupersprint replica tubular headers ceramic coated inside/outsideNew Bosch 02 sensorFull custom 2.5” exhaust system with 2 V-Bands, Borla Pro XS center muffler, Vibrant StreetPower rear muffler, catalytic converter removedFull resealed Getrag 260 transmissionShaved/lightened single mass flywheelNew Sachs clutch and pilot bearingPorsche 944 brake boosterNew OEM brake fluid reservoirRebuilt brake master cylinderStainless steel clutch lineZ3 1.9 Short shift kit with UUC DSSR3.73 Limited Slip differential, fully resealed and all tolerances checkedAll new bushings and linkage in shift lever and shift knuckle assemblies Suspension/Wheels:Ireland Engineering Stage III springsKoni adjustable shocksAll front and rear suspension bushings replaced with new OEME30 M3 offset control arm bushingsControl arms replaced with OEM within the last ~3 yearsFront wheels bearings replaced with OEM within the last ~5 yearsRear wheel bearings replaced with OEM within the last ~3 yearsATE Powerslot front brake rotors/Brembo rearStainless steel brake lines front and rearHawk HPS+ brake pads16x8 3SDM 0.05 ET25 wheels with 205/45/16 Federal tires15mm spacers rear, 6mm spacers frontRogue Engineering stud conversion kit Interior:Corbeau GTS II seatsCustom one-off Delrin BMW Motorsport shift knobWindow and sunroof switches converted to E36 rocker switchesLeather BMW Motorsport color-stitching shift and ebrake bootsLeather E36 M3 ebrake leverBlack/grey vinyl/cloth door panels front and rearBMW E30 M3 gauge cluster housing with aluminum ringsStock OEM BMW tape deckHardwired Mini-USB ran up into dash for GPSCruise control stalk removedEuro-market 316i non-OBC HVAC panelEuro-market German text check panelNew OEM sunvisorsLate-model 318is grey Berber carpetBlack E36 M3 floormats Exterior:Body fully converted to late-model trim levelPlastic bumpers front/rearLate-model front and rear valancesEllipsoid headlightsLate-model foglights with smoked Lamin-X Euro-market headlight grillsProfessionally-painted red corner taillightsiS trunk lip spoilerFront/rear bumper trim and side molding trim painted with fine-texture DupliColor bedlinerFront and rear fender lips rolledPaint-matched side mirrorsCNC Milled BMW Motorsport door handlesOn Feb-26-15 at 10:00:44 PST, seller added the following information: Up for sale is my 1986 E30 BMW 325is.
