Vehicle Detail

125cc Electric Start Twin Cylinder Engine, 4-speed Transmission, Dual-Leading Shoe Front Brake, Factory Aluminum Alloy Gas Tank, 90 mph Speedometer, Factory Fly Screen, Factory Tire Pump, Chrome Wheels, Yokohama Tires Original Engine Bike - Frame VIN: CB92 011058 Engine: CB92E-011089 Very rare early Honda. 1960 Honda CB92 Super Sport 125cc electric start twin in absolutely mint condition and only 118 miles since full restoration. Recently appraised at $17,000 here in the States, $25,000 in Japan - if you can find one. Starts immediately with a press of the button and settles into a lopey idle. These were early performance bikes and one of Honda's first exports to the States. Faster than most 250s in their day and capable of 85 mph. Honda's racing team used them to survey the track at the Isle of Mann races when Soichiro Honda decided to go racing. Imported into the States from 1959-62; one of only 288 imported in 1960; (62 in 1959, 288 1960, 246 1961, & 51 in 1962). This bike is fitted with its original engine (fully rebuilt) and runs perfectly. A CA95 154cc top end was installed at the time of rebuild. The 4-speed transmission was also rebuilt, shifts smoothly, & a new clutch installed. The electric starter, horn, speedometer, neutral indicator, and head & tail lights all work properly. Perfect aluminum alloy gas tank with the factory tire pump underneath and factory aluminum alloy front fender. Perfect rubber cowling on the gas tank. Incredible show-quality silver & red paint done in acrylic urethane base/clear and then buffed to perfection. The Yokohama tires are beginning to get sidewall cracks but are still usable. Perfect chrome wheels. Perfect side covers. Excellent factory flyscreen. Factory red dual saddle. Runs exceptionally well and accelerates right up to 80 mph. The ultra rare factory racing kit (worth $7,000; dual chrome head pipes & megaphones, racing seat (currently fitted on the bike), and 14,000 RPM tachometer (with tach cable) is available with the bike along with a box of spares (brake shoes, gaskets, air filter, etc) for an additional $3000 fee. One of the Holy Grail Japanese collector bikes with only a handful remaining. Fully & correctly restored by noted vintage Honda expert Bill Orazio in Metairie, Louisiana. Very neat, very special bike.
