1948 Ford 2 door Coupe All Steel. Professional Frame off restoration was completed about 10 years ago. The body is super solid as are the floor pans and frame. At restoration the body was stripped and repainted in a base clear 94 Ford Burgundy. I don't believe you will find a more solid body. The paint has held up very well and still has a brilliant shine, with only a few age and wear flaws. The engine was freshened up and the original 3 speed transmission was removed and resealed. The charging system has been updated to 12 volt with alternator for more drive ability The exhaust was replaced with a full dual system that runs all the length of the car exiting below the rear bumper. The original locking ignition system is still in place and works properly. The engine is a 1953 Flathead with those iconic Offenhauser Heads added for performance and appearance. They really complete the engine compartment. As the pictures show the firewall and wheel wells were stripped and painted to match exterior color. All chrome is either new or re-plated and remains in excellent condition. The Interior was totally replaced with original type material. The carpet door panels and headliner were also replaced. Note all the chrome appointments on the dash.All lights and gauges work properly. A mechanical temp gauge was added for a more accurate reading. This Ford runs, drives and stops very nice. The tires are speed rated radials that really add to the ride and handling of this classic Ford. You will be proud to drive and show this Ford classic.
