Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria (Ex-Police Car) This is being sold by a private party but was purchased from a town agency. I have firsthand knowledge with this vehicle not only with the Police Agency it was used on but also with the mechanical shop. Current miles are 112,543 A little about the vehicle: The car was used for the Reserve Officers on the Department (part time guys). The car was always kept in the PD garage and the Officers had to drive to the station to get the car out of the garage. Therefore the paint is in great condition other than the pictures of the roof where the paint is missing and the dent in the side of the fender. The tires on the car currently are at or above 60% and are snow tires. This car was not ran 24/7 nor was it used just in short distances. It was used for a Town that was in a rual community; therefore the vehicle was not limited to constant stop and go driving!! The car would be used for an 8-10hr shift then parked for several days until the next guy used it. Each Officer for the agency had their own patrol car and this one was kept for the reserves on the department to use. The car does have a check engine light on; last time it was scanned was for an air bag sensor in the seat. Sometimes it would come on, and sometimes it wouldn’t. The ABS light is on also, this is due to an ABS sensor needing to be replaced. However the brakes function, work, and operate fine as well as the ABS will activate, however at times the ABS with throw a fault code. This is something that could not be allowed in an emergency use vehicle by the department therefore this is one of the reasons it was sold, also they are switching to newer patrol vehicles. Also, because of the air bag fault code the car will have a “ding” that happens every so often as you would hear when the seat belt is not hooked up, it will do this even with seat belt on. The passenger side mirror is cracked, still intact and working, just cracked. The Odometer does not always light up. Usually when you first start the car it will, but then goes away. This vehicle in a mechanical aspect has been taken care of very well. It has always had oil changes less than 4k miles and, in its higher miles, it always ran 25,000 miles Ams Oil this was changed less than 4k regularly. Sounds over kill? Yes, but it was done and runs great due to this. Attached you will see some service records that will show extensive amounts of work done to this vehicle so it clearly shows it has been taken care of. Some of the recent repairs are but not limited to the following: -Install new drilled and slotted front brake rotors and performance pads -Install new drilled and slotted rear brake rotors and performance pads. - Ams Oil service oil change - Direct fit performance Catalytic Converters x2 - New air filter - Auto lite performance Iridium XP plugs x8 -Complete Transmission flush and transmission filter. (This is a flush, not just filter and pan oil changed) Total amount flushed was 18qts. All synthetic Ams oil was used in transmission - Rear Differential service using –Amsoil - New Intake Manifold -New performance Shock and struts x4 Totaling: $3,823.19 You will see the dates show these repairs have took place over the past 2 years. However the millage sense the repairs has been less than 10,000. Also, just last week I replaced the heater core. Any questions feel free to ask, you can call or txt me at (260) 336-6292 I am not selling this car blind, pretty much anything you need to know about it I can tell you. Again, this car has been very well taken care of, with the best parts for it. The above stated repairs are not all it has had done, however I have the receipts to prove the above information. The Department has owned the vehicle sense brand new and has always taken care of it. I work in the facility that did the repairs on the vehicle and have great communication with the department. So I’m not just going to say this car is FAST to get you to buy it, I am going to tell you everything you need to know about it so you are informed before you buy it. Some things to note: It does have a slight exhaust manifold leak, but goes away when engine is warm. Drives side window does work but works slow. The rear door locks do not function from the inside. Obviously this use to be a Police Car, so there is going to be some holes in the vehicle from antennas, as well as some holes from wires being run to equipment. I tried to take pictures of everything I could. Any questions feel free to ask. Vehicle is being sold as is where is with no warranties. I will have title in hand.
