Up for auction is this 1955 Cadillac. Car runs but has been in storage under covers for about four years. Car has some paint damage on left quarter. While in storage the drivers door window was broken. Left back up lamp is broken and tail lamps show their age with crazing in the lenses. According to the I.D. plate the car was originally black and apparently repainted white at some point in time. It is not known why or when it was painted white. Car does have factory equipped air conditioning. The drivers seat back appears to have been recovered. Car does need a new battery but due to the unusual size it has to be ordered and should be here before auction ends. Car has a new set of Coker Classic whitewalls, although they are in dire need of cleaning. Odometer is showing a little less than 70,000 miles which is believed to be original. Left front wheel opening molding has a dent. Car is not mine. The car belongs to my brother who has had it for about five years, however I rarely see my siblings and only saw the car myself for the first time when I took pictures of it last week. I am not a pro at selling cars, especially on eBay, so don't hesitate to ask questions. Just ask them in plenty of time for me to get a hold of my brother for answers. Research from previous owners indicate this is a three owner car. Original owner lived in California where car was until second owner bought the car in 1981 and titled it in Iowa. Iowa title shows the car is tan. Not sure why, car does not show anywhere on it that was or is tan. Winning bidder is responsible for picking the car up or arranging shipping. Non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is due within 48 hours of auction ending with remaining payment due within seven days of auction ending. Auto is being sold as-is. As I stated I don't sell cars so I don't know what to look for so don't hesitate to ask..... The car has rust hole in drivers side floor board that has a very feeble attempt to patch over the hole. The patch is about 8 inches square but has never been removed to examine the extent of the rust. I wont be anywhere near the car again until next Thursday so I will try to get some pics of rust. There is no rust in trunk floor or frame other than the normal surface rust from age and exposure to elements.  ... Engine uses no oil, will start, but needs a tune up. My brother said that when cars with points set without being run the points will rust over.(Greek to me). ...Transmission shifts fine. ... A/C needs freon. ... Car never had a radio. There is no slot in the dash for a radio and there is no aerial on any of the fenders. .. Brakes are bad. Left rear wheel cylinders are out. Car will need to be trailered or towed. On Feb-06-15 at 14:19:39 PST, seller added the following information: I got the pictures taken of the hole in the drivers floorboard and added them to the Photobucket album. There are four. The photo with the key fob next to the hole was taken from inside the car, all others were taken from underneath the car. I also took a photo of the passenger side floorboard from underneath. I also added a photo of the hood emblem and the trunk emblem. The hood emblem is missing the insert. The trunk lid emblem is intact.
