This 2001 Chevrolet Venture starts right up and lot drives, but has mechanical and cosmetic issues. It is an AUTOMATIC transmission and 3.4L V6. The Carfax report shows 4 previous owners and no accidents, There is no significant damage on the vehicle but there is rust, scratches, and worn or broken trim pieces.

As far as we know, it was being driven on a regular basis by the previous owners. With repairs and TLC this might be a good car for someone.

This vehicle starts right up and lot drives. Tires are at about 6/32 in the front and 1/32 in the rear. All tires are holding air. All four hubcaps are intact.

There is a SEVERE TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAK. The vehicle is dripping fluid as it is driven and is making a puddle when parked. This should be repaired BEFORE DRIVING IT ON THE ROAD.

The check engine light is on.

Both outer tie rods are very loose.

The battery appears to hold a charge.

The driver side rear door power lock is not working but the lock and door are functional.

I did not have a chance to test the cruise control.

The passenger side mirror is broken. The power mirrors function on both sides.

The radio appears to work. The heat blower appears to work. Power locks appear to work except the driver side rear door.

Cosmetic/Body issues: Please see all pictures. The paint is in rough condition with many light scratches. This vehicle needs a full cleaning including the headliner and carpets. Seats seem fairly clean. Interior odor is ok. The dash works correctly and all buttons appear to work but the instrument panel is a crack that affects seeing the speedometer (see picture). The radio works correctly. The glove box is missing and the ashtray cover is missing. The dashboard is cracked and the door panels are worn. The handle to close the lift gate is gone. There is trim falling off the sliding doors. There is a large dent in the lift gate. There is a large dent with paint damage on the hood. There is severe cosmetic damage on the steering wheel. There is a chip in the windshield and the wipers seem weak but functional.

There is rust around the body and underside of the vehicle. The underside appears to only have surface rust and does not seem to be a hazard. PLEASE SEE PICTURES.

The vehicle comes with two OEM keys, one seems to only unlock doors.

The vehicle may have a few more miles on it due to being driven around for inspection and pictures.

PLEASE NOTE: this vehicle should not be driven home due to the transmission fluid leak.
