2000 VW PASSAT WAGON 1.8T 5-SPD Manual 2000 Volkswagen Passat GLS Wagon I am selling my latest project car as i will no longer have the time or space to complete this. I bought this car about six months ago as i was need in of a delivery vehicle. I went to a local dealership for one car but ended up taking this one instead. It was a little rough around the edges...One Headlight was cracked, One Tailight was cracked and the alternator was shot....but the engine was strong and how often do u find a manual wagon?? The GOOD: -(all the things i did to this car) NEW ALTERNATOR NEW TIMING BELT NEW WATER PUMP NEW ENGINE SEAL(s) NEW WHEEL BEARINGSNEW UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY NEW PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS with LED DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS HID BULBS WITH HIGH QUALITY DIGITAL BALLASTS NEW LED TAILIGHTS With RED LED TURN SIGNALS PIONEER TOUCHSCREEN DVD PLAYER With IPOD/IPHONE/USB Input Black 18" wheels (Original VW are also included) Current NJ Inspection til 2016 25 MPG NO RIPS OR TEARS IN SEATS HEAT & A/C WorkSunroof Works​THE BAD: Sagging Headliner over trunk area Power Locks are not working properly will not respond to button(s) but will lock once car is in motion.... changed the comfort module troubleshooting something else and this started happening...i have the original CCM and will include it in the auction this may solve this Small crack in windshield on passenger side THE UGLY: ​CENTER CONSOLE/ARMREST LOCK is BROKEN (I Have a rubberband keeping the cushion in place) GLOVEBOX WAS BROKEN AND WOULDNT STAY SHUT (i removed it and ran a 30-Pin iPod connector into the glove box) TRUNK SHOCK IS BROKEN ON ONE SIDE SO U HAVE TO HOLD OPEN (the screw broke off that the trunk shock snaps into) GRILLE FELL OFF (i replaced with mesh grill no badge)Never Ran a Carfax but the car came from Texas had all the windows tinted but the hatch glass.removed the tint up front (Jersey Regulations) it passed inspection. NO CHECK ENGINE NO O2 SENSOR ISSUESMy mechanic(s) keep wanting to know where i found this as it runs nice n smooth. DESPITE ITS FLAWS I THOROUGHLY ENJOY THIS CAR.... I WOULDNT HESITATE TO DRIVE IT ANYWHERE I DROVE THIS ON A DAILY BASIS UP AND DOWN THE NJ TURNPIKE ABOUT 50-100 miles each way.Carried Plenty of Boxes and Pallet loads in comfort. I'm over 6ft.NO SPEED DEMON BUT GOOD ENOUGH, PLENTY OF TORQUE AND NEVER LEFT ME STRANDED.25 MPG DIDNT HURT EITHER Im selling this because i need something bigger for my deliveries & my three kids.
