Up for auction is a very nice 1960 Chevrolet Apache. This is a Texas truck owned by one family since new. Originally this truck was purchased in California. I bought this truck from the nephew of the original owner. Overall the truck is solid, it does have some rust spots in the fenders and behind the doors. Also, there is some rust around the inside of the cab, above the windshield, from what I believe to be the outside drip edges. The truck has no major rust, the frame, floorboards, bed and underside all look great. The truck has a 283 motor with a 3 speed trans, converted from the column to the floor. I believe it is the original motor with some upgrades. The truck starts, runs and drives well. I had it on the highway at 70mph and it cruises nice. There is some play in the steering. The brakes are good, but non-power drum brakes are never great. Fuel gauge does not work, neither do the turn signals. Probably an easy fix. Wipers do work. The truck has been stored for years inside and is ready for a new owner. I have this truck for sale or trade locally for a Harley panhead.
