For sale is my 2004 Volkswagen. These autos were Volkswagen's attempt to enter the luxury field and compete with the big Mercedes and Audis. This is a big heavy car. I call the exterior color Packard green and the interior a rich cream. It has a high quality interior trim and is quite striking in appearance. It has a large V8 motor, six speed automatic transmission and all wheel drive such as in the Audis but has a steel body. It has the comfort that comes from a big luxury car but has decent mileage--I get 16-18 miles per gallon in town and 22 miles per gallon on the highway at 75 miles per hour. Not every garage is competent to work on the cars and this is one of the reasons I want to sell it. Also I have the car fever to get a new, smaller and more gas efficient vehicle. I earlier had a Phaeton with the W12 motor and found it to have a lot more power, but the V8 motor provides adequate power with a lighter front end and better gas mileage. I have spent four to five thousand dollars on this vehicle in the recent past. This includes servicing the motor, transmission and air conditioning system. I have just installed a new set of tires and had all four of the brake rotors turned and trued. Also to cure some noise in the front end I have had new upper and lower control arms installed. All systems, knobs and switches are working except that the tire pressure monitoring system is not working.
