THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION - We are moving our shop 3000 miles and have to choose what can go for the ride. This one is going to your shop, behind the green Studebaker - We also have this truck listed on several other marketing channels - so it is subject to being pulled based on other offers during the Ebay auction -- good luck bidding. This is a very low miles Cummins with an automatic trans. This is a registered - licensed and currently tagged truck .The title is clear for the Dodge - We are selling in this package only what is shown here. You can see the video link of the vehicle on YouTube - under the title - "Diesel Research Vehicle Project" This is a 1989 Dodge pick up truck with very low miles. It was a totally pampered truck with minimal usage. The prior owner donated it for diesel research. To date, as a pick up truck, we have completed all tests that can be done in the configuration of a pick up truck. New brake drums and many other new parts have been installed with almost zero miles on them. The engine is perfect. You can find tons of older Cummins with 300k to 600k in miles - It is rare however to find one that is non computer and has 100k in miles. You are seeing it here in our shop as the chassis, suspension and drivetrain. With this Ebay sale - it does include the fuel tank, front engine hardware, radiator, driveshaft. Also included are the wheels holding the chassis up right now, plus the 4 very large wheels instrumental to the fuel mileage work. They are 8/25 - 20 truck tires. There are four of them that come with the chassis. Also shown is an example of a custom 20" aluminum wheel. Four of them as shown also come with this package. IDEAS - For the creative challenged - here are two really great ideas on what to do with this rolling chassis - 1) Go find any old truck - maybe you have one on the farm - Now - instead of taking 6000 years to restore the old truck - lift off the body - slide it over onto the barrels and go to lunch. When you come back - bring Jake, Sam, Billy and Wendel - have them help you slide it over onto the Dodge. 2) LOOK AT THE reallllly big wheels that come with this package - They were used for fuel mileage work - however - they look exactly like old as in 1920's truck wheels.. We at MotorMoods have built several promotional use old looking trucks on chassis' like this one - So, you end up with a vintage marketing tool for rent or for your company - Build from scratch a 1020's style old truck cab, fenders, hood, grille, bed or box as in panel truck. (Google pictures of old trucks - there ya go - or go to the truck museum and look over the real ones first.) ..........Make the main body all out of steel square tubing and then fasten wood panels and parts. The front sheet metal is all straight folds - none that are compound or complicated. Antique it with the log chain and layers of hand painted coatings - Done - paint on your company name - Spend a little extra time on the grille or rad housing - can't do that - call me and I'll guide you over the phone and email for free. One customer is renting his for serious money per hour with removable side signs. The vehicle mileage at the time of receipt from the prior owner was 76,442 as shown on the dash gauge assembly - With our test and research work - we continued operation without the original dash gauge assembly connected - We used other instrumentation. In posting the total mileage at roughly 100,000 - that was a safe high estimate to cover the statement. Now that the question is posed of exact mileage - we would estimate our additional mileage of testing the vehicle to be around 1,000 miles - so the engine and drivetrain are at roughly 77,000 miles or less than 80,000.
