I try to describe the positives & negatives of this vehicle accurately in this description. This Chevy Suburban runs & drives quite well! The rare 2500 package Suburban allows you to haul your whole family and tow just about anything. I purchased this vehicle from as a trade-in from a new car dealership in SE Michigan and have driven it about 125 miles since - it runs and drives quite nice! The 7.4L V8-cylinder engine runs strong with plenty of power. The automatic transmission shifts smooth with no issues at all. The 4x4 system engages with no issues and it does great in the snow. This Chevy is equipped with the LS package that includes power windows, locks, rear Heat/AC, cloth seats and carpeting throughout. Zero accident history per autocheck! Mechanically, this Suburban appears is in quite good condition. The engine & transmission are 100% running and driving. The brakes stop the truck straight and with more than adequate power. There is a little pulsation in the brakes when coming from a high-speed, but nothing too bad. The brakes are a little grabby if the truck has been sitting for a while but that always works itself out quickly. While driving the steering & suspension components appears to be in good shape - no rattles, no suspension noise - there is a very slight amount of play in the steering and the wheel is cocked slightly to the left (like 11 o'clock and the truck goes straight down the road) but for the age and miles on this truck it is in very good shape. There is an oil leak that is noticeable when I left the truck inside overnight it leaves a little on the ground (nothing crazy), nothing that isn't common for an older truck and I have not tried to trace it. The truck fires right up immediately when cold although it will sometimes crank for a couple seconds before firing once it is warmed up after a drive. The tires are all heavy duty 265/75/16 size load range "E" mounted on factory steel wheels. The front tires are Vativa Nokians in quite good shape and the rears are Toyo Open Country that are nearing the end of their life although some tread remaining (see pics). The vehicle drives straight down the road. A very slight vibration is noticeable over 55 MPH, but it is slight. There is a little wheel noise from the front but I believe it is just the tires being a little loud (I am not familiar with this brand of tire) and they really aren't loud just worth mentioning. Overall, this vehicle drives very nicely for its age and mileage. Spare tire is present. The heat works well and the van blows on all power levels and blows wherever you want it to (defrost, vents, floor, etc) although it can sometimes take a moment for the direction to change. The A/C hasn't been tested because its been quite cold outside. The Chevy is equipped with AM/FM/CD/Cassette that appears to be working well although the radio is missing a few knobs they all work. The check engine light comes and goes for code P1351 which means Ignition Coil Control Circuit High Voltage - it does not seem to affect the running or driving of the Suburban as far as I can tell. The exhaust sounds good but might have a small leak (sounds nice and throaty for a 454 V8). All of the gauges read properly and there are no abnormal readings. The engine runs smooth with no lack of power at all - very strong. All of the power windows work like they should but the power locks don't seem to work (the locks do work manually). Like most vehicles over 15 years old, there are a couple small quirks like the passenger's side sun visor mirror cover is missing and occasionally you have to wiggle the key a little in the ignition (looks to be an aftermarket key). Overall, quite a nice running and driving vehicle, I would not hesitate to drive this one anywhere! Cosmetically -- this vehicle looks in nice shape. The exterior paint is in good condition. It has less rust than most Suburbans of this year in this part of the country, but it is starting to show at some spots along the bottom. A few minor scratches are to be expected, but no major body damage at all. The front of the hood looks to have been touched up with paint from road chips (looks a little worse in person than the pics). The windshield is cracked on the passenger side, the rest of the glass is in good shape and the rear windows feature factory tint. The interior is in nice condition. The cloth interior has no rips or major damage. There is some discoloration in the carpets around where floor mats used to be that would probably come out with a good steam cleaning - a good detail would benefit this interior. There are no smoke or other odd odors inside although there is a small burn hole in the Driver's seat and some scuffs along the driver's door panel. Door panels are all attached normally with the exception of the passenger side rear barn door is missing the lower paneling section and the speaker cover on the driver's door is rusted (see pics). Check out the pictures - they speak for themselves! I have tried to capture both the positives and the flaws in those pictures. Overall, this Suburban shows nice and will be a vehicle that you can be proud of! I have tried my best to represent this vehicle accurately and to the best of my abilities. Earning and keeping a 100% positive feedback rating is very important to me! I purchase most of my vehicles as trade-ins from new car dealerships as traded. I test drive each vehicle on the expressway and around town for at least 20 miles, often over 100 miles, and use that experience to represent the vehicle to you on eBay. Please remember that you are buying a used vehicle and that a certain amount of wear/use/flaws are to be expected on any used vehicle -- including this one. This is the State of Michigan's rule, not mine...but from browsing eBay $10 is probably the cheapest temp-tag of any state and you will be able to drive your car immediately and legally. In Michigan, all cars sold over 10 years old are marked as mileage exempt in accordance with Federal law. Basically, this means that the State stops keeping track of mileage on older cars, however Autocheck still does track the mileage and this vehicle is not known to have any mileage inaccuracies or discrepancies.
