About Me | See my other items | Email A Friend Description of [FOR SALE 1959 BMW R50 ] Selling this bike for a friend of mine so consider it a private party sale. Recent tuneup, headlight guard installed as seen in the last 3 pictures. FOR SALE 1959 BMW R50 w Earles Fork Suspension in great running condition. It is a very honest bike, one of the nicest riding and looking pre 1970 BMW bikes I have ever ridden. It is an older restoration, about 14 years ago and only ~2000 miles ridden since that time documented with receipts. This bike has always been stored in temp. controlled garage and it shows. It is a very clean bike, not perfect but a great every day runner. The motor was restored by Craig Vechorik including new cylinders, slingers and all the rest that you can see on the invoices. I am aware of 3 previous owners of the bike where one was a BMW dillership owner. Engine has great compression, clutch and brakes work well, gearbox goes through all 4 gears as it should. Lights, hella bar end turn signals, horn, also all work as intended, Magura Low euro handle bars, Denfeld luggage rack, owners manual and original tire pump. Matching frame, engine, tag and title numbers. Ride as is or restore to pristine condition. The Earles Forks and opposing cylinder engine always get a lot of attention. Recently top end resealed with brand new set of gaskets and seals, valves adjusted, bike is ready to go!!! If the seller is an Illinois Dealer, the following charges apply: 1) $20 drive-away permit[unless transferring plates] and 2) AZ, CA, FL, HI, IN, IL, MA, MI, SC residents must include their state's sales tax with payment[unless shipping]. Residents of other states pay taxes and license/registrations fees in their home state, dealers exempt. Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 7 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. We accept Cashier's check or wire transfer for full payment, allow up to 7 working days for the cashier's check to clear before we can release the bike.
