Vehicle Detail

BEST 1982 FERRARI 308 GTSI FOR SALE, IN THE WORLD AT THE MOMENT. Why? Well, it has just received the prestigious CLASSIQUE designation from Ferrari. Classique was just 2 months ago. It was fully serviced, all hoses, timing belt and any part that was necessary (any and all, over $15,000.00 from Maserati/Ferrari in Atlanta) was completed 9 months ago. All receipts of course. This car runs like a top. Time capsule survivor. If you collect Ferrari's, then you know it can be expensive to fix them or know what is wrong. That is not a misprint, she has 1,629 total miles, not 16,000, not 160,000, under 2000 miles! Please compare apples to apples folks. You cannot find one in all original paint, with great maintenance (just because it is low mileage does not mean you cannot drive it, I drive her when I can, but a few other cars also in my collection). This car can be driven hard, top notch Ferrari/FCA servicing went into her in March 2014 and each and everything she needed was taken care of to begin the process of Classique. It took a month of servicing, engine out, to get this car looking like it does. You can practically eat SUSHI off this engine. You can save your money, but if you want to spend the $11.00 it will tell you everything I am saying below - incredible. Owners: 2, including me. That is correct, 33 years old and this car has had two registered owners. It was formerly in a museum and owned by a race fanatic/executive. AUTOCHECK SCORE: 79! Normal range for 33 year old cars is between 55-76. This is 3 pts higher than the highest score for its age. Accidents: None. Lights: Go up, down, and all lights that are necessary and proper go on and off. Clock: Even the clock keeps perfect time, you can set your watch by it. Antennae: This is electronic and it goes up and down perfectly. Windows: Like all older Ferrari's, it won't beat a brand new car but they work fine. Slow but fine. Dings or Dents? None. Engine? Immaculate. Sound is incredible for 33 years old. Every hose and line needed to be fixed was fixed and is brand new, 100% Ferrari original. Interior: This should give you shivers to see this car. You do not spend $5,000 on Classique for nothing. It has to meet ALL ORIGINAL standards to receive such a designation or it is rejected. Manuals alone are over $1200.00 in this condition, jack is another $600. Rims: Original. Tires: Her original tires ARE INCLUDED with this sale (all 5 tires are from 1982), but were not road-worthy. I saved them in case you are the kind that wants it as it came from Ferrari in 1982. I installed 5 brand new Michelin TRX tires (even the spare is new) at a cost of over $3,000.00 (receipts on those too). These TRX tires are $499.99 each, you can look them up, and need to be ordered custom. Add in balancing, tax and all that jazz and you are at 3k. You do not find 1982 Ferrari stock tires at your local Sears. They are specially made, still readily available, but only on an as-needed basis. These tires have about 250 miles on them. Manuals: I really do not need to go much into this car as to originality since it has been fully serviced and classique'd by Ferrari of Italy. Yes, all manuals, tools and jack HAD to be present (all of them) in order to receive the red binder. Shifting: Flawless. Exterior: 9.6/10 Interior: 9.6/10 or better. My demands are pretty high, see feedback and all my other sales. I only deal in top quality cars, artwork and rare collectibles. You CANNOT AND WILL NOT find a better one for sale on the planet, with lower miles, with new tires, that has received the Classique Badge from Ferrari. Find one and let me know the cost. A PLUM COLORED CLASSIQUE, WITH 8,000 MILES, RECENTLY SOLD FOR OVER $75,000. PLUM! Classique is very hard nowadays. The process alone takes 8-12 months and getting any 308 passed is very hard because so many were modified with bigger tires or non-Ferrari parts or exhausts to speed them up. The dealer said it is easier for them to pass an ENZO or TESTAROSSA than a 308 GTSi. Pics say most, Classique says the rest. On Jan-12-15 at 21:32:40 PST, seller added the following information: To answer a specific question: The Ferrari Classiche for this 1982 308 GTSi was granted and approved on November 1, 2014.On Jan-13-15 at 18:47:07 PST, seller added the following information: Car is listed on numerous websites and locally in GA. I reserve the right to end early if there is an offer/sale prior to this auction's termination. On Jan-14-15 at 05:38:21 PST, seller added the following information: Answering a question, Why is Classique Important? What this does is guarantee that your car matches the specs of Ferrari. There are many subtle nuances even within this car (passenger side view mirror deleted, 185 mph speedo as some only had speedos that went to 85mph, smaller front bumper, etc.). What Ferrari does is checks the specs for this particular car, not other 308's, and then checks to see if it matches. If a major discrepancy or even a minor one (tail lights are often reversed by accident), it needs to be fixed, pictures taken, then reapply. But Classiche only meets once a month to review its cars. If you need to fix something that delays the process. A testarossa was delayed 3 months because it had the wrong turn signal covers. Just depends. Materials, color, interior, suspension, brakes, bodywork, all of it must check out. That is why it's hard to get and why it is important to preserve Ferrari history. On Jan-15-15 at 06:49:01 PST, seller added the following information: I can send you the classiche booklet via email if need be. Ferrari is behind on producing their leather red binders and will have that ready in 2-3 weeks. If you should hsve ANY questions about the veracity of the Classiche, please csll Ferrari/Maserati of Atlanta at 678-802-5010 and ask for service manager Matt Luckie. He will explain that not only is this car Classiche but why Ferrari is behind in sending the binders. Once received it will be overnighted to winner. On Jan-15-15 at 13:51:29 PST, seller added the following information: Any final questions, call me at 404 444 0867.On Jan-16-15 at 09:04:05 PST, seller added the following information: PLEASE BE AWARE THIS AUCTION ENDS AT 1:00AM EST ON SAT MORNING. I APOLOGIZE FOR THE LISTING TIME BUT IF YOU PLAN TO BID JUST REMEMBER TO TRY TO BID BEFORE GOING TO BED. THANKS TO THE OVER 80+ WATCHERS AND I WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK. SHE IS QUITE SPECIAL AND YOU'D BE A PROUD OWNER.
