Vehicle Detail
Hello, Up for auction is a 68 Mustang Coupe with original 289. When I purchased car the drivetrain was in pieces so I rebuilt the engine to a slight high-performance and installed engine only to find that Trannie was trashed so I bought a C-4 from a junkyard out of a 68 Fairlane 500 and put it in but it went out a month later so I broke down and had the Trannie completely rebuilt also. Now the car runs real good and quite strong. What I've done mechanically includes: Power Steering pump New distributor Had carb rebuilt New alternator and voltage regulator Had dual exhaust installed with "Thrush mufflers" Car has rear leaf supports, air shocks, and interior is set up for racing(racing buckets and Grant steering wheel)but I do still have the original bench with console front seat(needs recovering). All electricals work except hood blinkers and left front blinker bulb socket is broken(I have another one just got to install it) Body does need some work,it has some rust issues on left rear quarter panel above the wheel and right side at the bottom where it meets the trunk.Floor panels are solid as well as trunk bottom. In the interior the rear seats have come apart at the top stitching(don't know if that can be stitched back up or not)and the original bench with console front seat needs recovering....The dashpad is completely shot and I'm actively looking for another one so that too may be done by the time car sells. All lettering and emblems are all there and all original as well as the original "Pony gas cap". Title is clear and here in Denver I was required to have a vin verification prior to registration because I bought car from Utah so it's 100% legit.
