Here is a 1974 BMW 2002 restoration project or racecar project. It has the 4 speed manual with factory sunroof and 114,000 miles. This would be a great restoration project for a father & son. It will need paint & body work, including metal work for rust repair on fenders, floors, and rocker panel. There is paint bubbling in the front fenders, doors and rear quarter panels. The engine starts easily however the engine started smoking when I took it out of storage last spring. Assume that the engine will need rebuilding or at the very least that the cylinder head will need to be removed and rebuilt. The transmission, brakes and rear end are in good shape. The floor pedal assembly is rusty and the accelerator pedal sticks, however I have a used replacement pedal assembly that was purchased off Ebay that is included. The interior has been retrofitted with front bucket seats out of a Mercedes 190, however I do have the original seats that would need reupholstering. The original carpeting needs to be replaced and the dash top has cracks in it.. The car was retrofitted with the alloy wheels off of a later BMW 325 and the tires are several years old with under 500 miles on them. The exhaust system and all the brakes were also done several years ago and have less than 500 miles on them. I do have the stock bumpers and also the stock steel wheels and they are included.
