Overall solid body with usable interior for a driver with some petina. I bought this car off ebay 7 years ago because I love Jaguars. I bought an S because MKII got so pricey. this appeared to me to be an easy restoration. At the time I was told the engine had been rebuilt but would not turn over bu the car came with a spare eng and trans. (still does). I discovered that the problem was a dropped valve. I suspect it will need at least a piston, some head work or just put in the spare engine. I got as far as attempting to remove the head and realized that my hands and arms and fingers just dont bend to work on these cars. It has been sitting with the hood off and engine partially dissasembled for about 3 years. I am moving soon and loosing my 5000 sq ft shop. My loss your gain. My plan was to get it running, paint it and drive it but the reality is I have been restoring a TR3 on and off now for over 20 years and if I dont get that one done I will never get to this one. I even decided to sell my Alvis TA14 (listed on ebay see other items) so you know I am a british car enthusiasit throwing in the towel (except for the tr3 which I WILL finish unless the lord calls me home first!).Pictures pretty much tell the story. No reserve at about half what I have in it and probablyh the fair value of the spare engine and transmission alone! Please ask any questions before bidding. I had to order from England and it was quite costly as I recall a couple hundred as I recall, that ought to be worth another bid??
