Vehicle Detail
2001 Ford Explorer Sport. For sale. This was my daily driver until Thanksgiving 2014 when I purchased another vehicle. I purchased it in December 2007. It had 84,000 miles when I purchased it. It now has 141,000 miles. In seven years I put 57,000 miles and average of 8,150 miles a year. Since I purchsed it I have had the following work done. Had the intake gaskets replaced. Had a remote start installed. Replaced the Battery, Full tune up (plugs & wires). Had the transmission flushed and new filter & fluid. Had oil in 4 wheel drive and rear end replaced. Had the Radiator flushed and new Antifreeze/ Coolant replaced. I have ONLY used Synthetic Oil in all motor oil changes. Replaced the shocks (all four). Both front wheel hubs replaced. Some other front end work was done when they did the four wheel alignment. Had the brakes replaced over a year ago and the Anti Lock brake light has come on since then. The brakes work just no anti brake lock. Engine Light is on (oxygen Sensor I think). Driver side power door lock clip has come loose you can hear the lock but but it doesn’t lock. I had it fixed once and since it stopped I just lock it by hand and open the passenger door and reach thru and unlock the drivers door. The air conditioner works but has needed to be recharged every year. This last summer it needed to be recharged twice to work all summer. The major thing (I THINK) is the body mount bushings in the rear have deteriorated to the point the back end bangs when you hit bumps. I just put a 50 lbs bag of sand over each rear wheel well and it doesn’t make much noise. Also when I was taking pictures I noticed the body inside had rusted thur on both sides of the rear door jams and also inside on the rear passenger side only (inside). You can see the picture where I am holding up the carpet. Not rusted on the other side. The running boards have started to rust. I sprayed some rust inhibitor on them and the spot over the passenger rear wheel. Center Console has wear and tear to the top of it. I drove the truck everyday until I bought a truck from where I work out. The truck never broke down on me. Never left any puddle of anything any where. The right person with the right mechanical ability could make this a nice truck. Fix it and sell it for a profit. I live in a over 55 condo and just don't want to work on it. All lights work, Cruise Control works, Sunroof slide and the Popup work, 4 Wheel drive Low & High work, Windshield wiper and washer work, No windshield wiper on rear window but motor does work. Heated rear window works, Radio and 6 disc player work, overhead center console works when it wants to (shows Outside temp & direction), Driverside power seat works, Power mirrors work, Both power windows work, drivers side control will only roll passenger window down not up, passenger side still does both up and down, Fan and Deforst motor only works on medium and high, Rear fan control works, Rear seats fold up and down this no trouble, still has Jack and Jack handle, spare tire (FullSize) under bed, still goes up and down, No cuts or rips in the leather that I have seen. Headliner is still fully in tack, The liner on the hood over the engine is fully in tack. It could use a good inside Cleaning. I have tried to list everything good and bad about the vehicle THE TRUCK IS BEING SOLD "AS IS" NO WARRANTY. On Jan-07-15 at 11:16:44 PST, seller added the following information: THIS VEHICLE WILL SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER. Not listed anywhere else. Auction will not be ended early for any reason !!!
