Very late matching number 1965 Porsche 356 SC Coupe. Southern car stored for over 25 years Light Ivory ( 6404 ) / black Electric, 6000 RPM redline tachometer. Camber compensator. 4 date matched wheels 11 / 64 Excellent candidate for restoration. The engine appears to have been rebuilt before long term storage. It has 175lbs. compression in all cylinders with new OE pushrod tubes and extremely clean block, heads, and valvegear. No attempt was made to start the engine. Engine is complete and original to car with exception of air filters. This 356 SC was manufactured after production of the new 911 began. The VIN number, 222464 is 981beyond the last VIN number (221483) listed in the the 3rd edition of " Information Please" for 1965 cars. The engine, 813831 (type 616/16) is original to the car and it is 268 beyond the numbers listed for 1965 SC engines. The transaxle, 86493 ( date 3(March) 5 (1965) and type 741 / 2 C ) is also original to the car. Not pictured are two boxes of brake parts, bumper brackets,engine tins and other parts.
