I am enthusiastically offering for sale the worst car I have ever owned and there is no small amount of competition in that race. I purchased this box of snakes some years ago, over my wife's objections, as a college car for our daughter @ Johns Hopkins University. Over the last several years service invoices have totaled thousands & thousands & thousands & thousands of dollars. Many of the bills I have saved but, like tossing love letters from an old flame you can no longer stand the sight of,....I don't have them all. For instance, I had to changed not only the front headlamps but the headlamp assemblies on the car and that cost alone closed in on a couple grand....Keep in mind now that is only the front 6"'s of the car....... There of course was plenty more activity going on behind the grill which has served to keep the muppets & Satan's familiars who work on these British cars in Polo sweaters this Christmas. The final stray for me was last week when I had to replace the gas rail in the car....I still don't know what the heck that is but it's fixed and yes, it cost plenty.  By now you have realized that I'm not going to oversell the XJ but I would still place her condition as good to very good. There was a young deer that side swiped the driver's door and there is a slight impression still there and it is close up pictured. The power sunroof went into permanent eclipse some years ago and is now locked in the closed position. The headliner around the sunroof has some soiling from water that must have entered when it went on the fritz and the headliner droops in the back corners just a bit.The car & trunk unlocks w/the turn of the key of course but not the remote function, perhaps a battery. The big bits however have never been problematic, (The engine and transmission, have always been straight on reliable). There were no service lights illuminated on the car until just now of course, with a parking break fault light that has appeared. I had that fixed once, interesting enough it wasn't costly, Whoever gets this car can start on his education right away and find a service tech to sort that minor issue out.  On just a few occasions over the past several years, when the outside temperatures are in the teens or colder, the air suspension fault light popped on and the car would sit low.  We would pull the Jag inside and by the next morning, she was fine. The car is a pig on roller skates anyway in the snow so it hasn't been much of an issue for my little girl. Anyway however, it has happened in the dead of Winter and could happen again and my guess is that, if on a warm Summer day across the dash screen scrolls "air suspension fault"....((Read Bankruptcy)) So now you can understand that the great price reflects my ambition to make this someone else's potential future problem. In actuality, I would imagine most Jags in this age and with these miles would have similar service occurrences. This one might be a step above them as it has been maintained w/ pretty much an open check book. To wrap up the sale immediately, ring my mobile @ 724-996-1288. When these cars are new I have always looked on the manufactures warranty period as somewhat of a lit fuse. When they get to be 10 years old w/ a hundred and fifty thousand miles on the clock, they become an unpinned hand grenade. In an effort to narrow my losses into the poor house, it is time to let her go. That being said, she is good to go now, Poltergeists and all are dormant, no doubt in an effort to attract the next wide eyed innocent. If your handy enough to fix the random issues that have been visited upon my child then the car is a bargain for the next buyer / optimist / exorcist .....I will include a set of emergency road flares in the trunk.
