Vehicle Detail
Frame off restoration of a very solid car. I have various pictures of the restoration I can email upon request. You can find some additional pictures and several comments regarding the car at Bring a Trailer.com. from October of 2014 when the car was listed on EBay. This car was restored by a man in Napa Valley that has become quite ill. I bought the car just two months ago on EBay from his step son and had it shipped to my home in Wisconsin. I paid $17,500 for the car and have driven it about 100 miles. I am selling the car because, to be quite honest, I should have never bought it! I have 10 other cars besides this Cougar and now that I have it I will never find the time to drive it. It was a great idea at the time but now that I own it is just one more car to store and insure. I bought it because it was a great buy, if you check it out at Bring a Trailer.com you will see that the people that commented on the car also thought at $17,500 it was a great buy. The car runs great, the taillights blink sequentially and the headlight covers go up and down when you turn the lights on and off. Both the heater and defroster work and I believe the air condtioning works but that is hard to be ceratin of in Wisconsin in the winter months. I added up many but not all of the receipts from the restoration and not including the car they came to over $10,000.00. No labor is include, just parts alone. things like a new A/C compressor, brake lines, new carb., carpet, door handles, rocker arms, door panels, visors, speedometer, timing chain, valves, wheel bearings, wheels, U joint, lights, piston rings, cruise control, exc... I am selling the car with no reserve starting at $15,000.00. If it sells for that I will lose over $3,000 on the car when you figure in shipping from Napa Valley to Wisconsin. I am hoping the bidding will go much higher but if not I am willing to take a loss on the car. As you can see the gentleman that did the restoration went for comfort rather than original regarding the seats. The seats in the car feel and look very expensive and are comfortable but the original seats are included with the sale. Any questions please email me or send me your phone number if you would like to discuss the car and I will return your call promptly.
