Vehicle Detail
This is a 1971 Honda CB750K. Its build date is 11/1970. It has all of its original parts except the exhaust and side covers and gauges. Both of the side covers on it are aftermarket replacements and the left side is cracked. The cracks look easily repairable. The odometer reads 9281, but the previous owner said he replaced the gauges at some point and probably has some where in the in the area 15k miles on it. It has only 2 previous owners, 1 from new until 1977 and the other from 1977 until last week. The bike had been stored in a garage and not run for the last couple of years. All of the electrical works and I did get it to run for a moment but the carbs need to be cleaned out and tuned up. This bike is drivable as is, but it definitely needs a restoration at least partial. When I got it, the front master cylinder was dry and the caliper was locked up so I went ahead and rebuilt the caliper so it has good front brakes. I did not rebuilt the master cylinder but I cleaned it out good and it is working fine. The good:Clean titleWill start (kick only and it takes quite a lot of kicking)Electrical all works Chrome is in overall really nice shape very little rust except on the 4 into 2 headersEngine was polished up a couple years ago and still looks pretty goodRebuilt front brake No oil leaksFrame appears rust free and in very good shapeGood compressionWiring harness isn't tampered withThe bad:Needs tiresPaintTorn seat coverNeeds carbs cleaned and tuned to run wellElectric start doesn't workCracked left side coverFuel petcock slowly drips when it is shut off.I may be forgetting some things and I will update the listing as remember. I tried to take many close up pictures so you can see what you are getting. This would be an excellent cheap starter bike for someone to tinker with and ride around or, from the good condition of the frame and chrome, would make a great, solid restoration candidate.A $200 non refundable deposit is do within 24 hours of the auction close. The remainder within 7 days. I will work with the buyer on shipping at the buyers expense. I will also deliver the bike myself within 5 hours of Columbus, Ohio for the price of gas and a small fee. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks
