This van was upfitted by Midwest Designs in the spring of 2012 when it had right at 40,000 miles. Prior to this, the van was used a regular cargo van. Midwest Automotive Designs added the exterior appearance package and did the passenger conversion inside to accommodate 12 passengers not including the driver and front passenger. However the very rear 4 person bench can easily be removed should you need to haul more gear and luggage. Each seat has it's own seat belt and each is comfortable. The floor is a very easy to keep laminate wood compound so there is no carpet to hassle with. This would be a great crossover vehicle for those wanting a limo Sprinter look but having the safety of individual seats and seat belts. This happens to be built on the Dodge branded Sprinter Chassis, but a Mercedes Grill and logos were added to set this unit apart. Sprinters were marketed in the US under the Dodge and Freightliner brands, but are actually a product of Mercedes Benz and originate in Germany. There is absolutely NO difference between a Freightliner, Dodge, or Mercedes Sprinter....just simple badging and grill. Most recently Mercedes Dealers have been revamping their sales teams and service departments to sell and service Sprinters. Sprinters are most common in Europe and are utilized in everything from Ambulances to construction vehicles. Of course here in the US you seen them used by companies like FedEx and UPS because of their reliability. I have personally seen these chassis with a half million miles and still going. But don't be afraid thinking you are buying a vehicle that is tough to get service. Dodge and Freightliner dealers all over North America can easily service this van in addition to many Mercedes Dealers. Midwest Automotive Designs is based in Elkhart,IN is the country's largest Sprinter Conversion company. From mild to wild, Midwest will custom build any option you wish for your Sprinter. RV, Executive, or Passenger Conversions are the main focus at Midwest and prices can climb into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. This Sprinter boasts the Brabus 18in Alloy Wheels, fiberglass running boards, and front bumper cover. It is equipped with a factory rooftop air conditioner/heater with factory controls located on the dash. Exterior upgrades alone are close to $15,000 retail. Inside, the van has a Kenwood Stereo with Navigation, DVD Player, and backup camera. Overhead you will see a massive 22in drop down screen with DVD player. In addition to all new seating, it has the upgraded wood trim kit that sets this apart from stock passenger Sprinters. Overall this Sprinter is very clean inside and out. It has not been wrecked and has a clean vehcile history report. Inside the van there are NO funky smells an dit has NOT been smoked in. If you look closely in the pics you can see a minor dent on the upper left hand rear corner, we will have this small area repaired prior to it going to its new home. Additionally there are a few rock chips on the front end and above the step at the side sliding door. It has been in the midwest its entire life so you can see a few spots on screws and bolts underneath that have light surface rust, but all of the sheet metal is in good condition. We have only 1 keyfob for this van but all factory owners manuals are included. As previously stated this would be a great piece for a Limo company wanting to expand into the Charter Business, a college or church, or even the family that has a tough time fitting in a Suburban. You can expect close to 20mpg with this 3.0 Turbo Charged Diesel engine and it is capable of towing 6,000lbs. If you have never driven a Sprinter, the stability and ride are far superior than a standard van or SUV.
