I am downsizing my Land Cruiser collection. This 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 in the rare Spring Green color is in excellent original condition. I purchased this from another Land Cruiser collector who was moving cross country and offered it to me. He had searched for over a year to find an FJ40 that was in original and complete condition. He found and purchased this from the original owner in eastern Washington. This FJ40 was always kept under roof. This allowed for both interior and exterior to remain in excellent condition. For example, the original dash is intact without fading or cracks. The rear jump seats are original and only the passenger side rear jump seat has a few small tears (see image). All jack components remain in place. This Land Cruiser drives great. If you are unfamiliar with these vehicles, there is a lot online for reference. Please make sure you are informed buyer as it was built in 1969 and does not operate in the same fashion as a modern vehicle. For instance, it is a 3 speed with the original 1F inline six, so although it may go on the highway, fast highway speeds are not necessarily its design intent. It does great on two lane roads up to 65 miles per hour. There is no ABS so you have to pump the brakes, etc. Google is your friend if you want to find out more. Updates and Repairs made: The intent was to make sure this Land Cruiser was restored and maintained in as original condition as possible without any significant changes. The following are the repairs and updates made: -Clutch replaced due to occasional slipping. At this time, the clutch master and clutch slave cylinders were replaced. -The brake master cylinder was replaced and all 8 wheel cylinders were either rebuilt or replaced. -When exhaust manifold gasket was being replaced, the decision was made to go ahead and change the head gasket due to the age of the vehicle as a preventative measure. -Radiator and associated hoses were replaced. -The front seats were reupholstered due to bolster wear and tear. -A new headlight dimmer switch was installed. All lights, turn signals, etc work perfectly. -There was a little rust on the rear sill, and a small spot behind each of the front doors. This rust was cut out and new steel welded in its place. The FJ40 was then repainted on the outside with PPG paint in the original color - Toyota Spring Green. -New shocks were installed. -Shackles were replaced with oversized shackles to provide enough clearance for taller tires to give the FJ40 a taller stance. -Wheels were repainted and 5 new 33x10.5x15 BF Goodrich All Terrain K/O tires were installed. -Lloyds Mats were installed in front and rear for protection and sound dampening. -A new washer fluid bottle, motor and hoses were installed and function properly.
