For sale is a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL finished in Signal Red with Palomino leather interior and black softop. This 560SL was sold new in Chicago Illinois in March of 1987 to its first owner and lived in Chicago until moving to Florida in the late 1990's. The car was sold to the second owner in 2001 and brought to AZ where it has been ever since. The car has traveled only 59,020 miles since new and is accompanied by a very comprehensive file of service receipts and documents dating back to brand new. The paint is excellent showing only tiny imperfections. There are no dents, dings or scratches on the body of the car and there is absolutely no rust or corrosion anywhere. All of the glass is in excellent condition and is free from any pitting or cracks. The original hardtop accompanies the car and is in excellent condition. The leather interior is original and free from any damage or tears. The drivers seat does show some very minor cracking. The dashboard is original and free from any cracking or damage. The original wood is in great shape and does not have the typical cracking. All of the switch gear is in great shape and operating as designed. The carpets are all original and in excellent condition only showing minor signs of use. The convertible top is the original black German canvas top the car left the factory with. It is still in excellent condition only showing one small hairline tear in the drivers side and the headliner is still in excellent condition. The car starts right up and idles very smoothly. It is free from any smoking or leaks and shifts into gear with ease. This SL accelerates beautifully and goes down the freeway at 75mph with ease. There are no noises or rattles and the steering does not give any vibrations or shakes. The suspension is very smooth and quiet and free from any noises or issues. The brakes feel excellent and are free from any vibrations or fade. All of the mechanical equipment are in working order as designed. The power windows, power locks, A/C, heater, all the interior and exterior lights and even the cruise control are all functioning. The brake pads and rotors have just been replaced along with rebuilt calipers. Recently replaced fuel accumulator, plugs and wires and fuel distributor along with the engine coil. The car runs and drives excellent and is extremely solid. This is an excellent example of a truly timeless car. The car comes with a clean and clear title, actual miles, complete service history from new, two Mercedes keys, books, tools, spare and jack and the original Mercedes tools for the hardtop.
