California Dreamin 1957 FORD Thunderbird Roadster Red on Red Original Torch Red painted once Orig. LOW mileage 98k Removable Hardtop Matching Numbers Fender Skirts 312 4V A rare gem, low production numbers and solid, makes this car a great investment. A two owner car. I acquired it in 1977 from an older couple that just wanted someone else to enjoy it like they did. Used mostly for shows, Sunday drives and an occasional parade. (See Parade picture with Chevy Chase riding in it) I became a member of the Classic Thunderbird Club and Classic Thunderbird International in 1985. What a joyful experience. Recently the paint was completed about a month ago. Painted with high end paint with many hours block sanding in between clear coats gave my car a silky smooth perfect finish. The paint is so deep it picks up cloud reflections (see pics of trunk lid) My Bird was stripped to bare metal by an old school painter named Jav. He meticulously stripped all the paint to metal using a single sided razor blade. (see paint pics) I asked why? His reply was that “you leave no flat spots on such a curvacious car.” Made sense. Door, Hood and Trunk gaps line up perfectly and this car is razor straight! No chips or door dings here! Never any rust from salty roads, Southern California Born and Raised! The under carriage is very straight and rust free as you can see. Factory Original Floor Pans, Frame Rails, Rocker Panels all in excellent shape with no previous damage or rust repair. Rock solid as a car would be. Never abused or modified. Check out those perfect door gaps! All new Rubber Door seals, Trunk seals, Engine compartment seals, Wheel Skirt seals installed after paint. I have all the old registration slips showing ownership along with receipts, books, pictures and a cast metal model all go with my car. I had the upholstery, dash and door panels redone about a couple years ago. Acquired from the Thunderbird Center, I only used the best quality parts and NOS when ever possible. Brand New Coker Wide White Wall Radial tires have about 20 miles on them. Mounted and balanced with a true Laser Wheel Alignment. A good White Wall spare in the trunk along with jacks and books also supplied. I guarantee you can't drive a day without getting a compliment on this car or thumbs up. It turns allot of heads! If your looking for a very solid Bird that's reliable to call your own with only one paint layer like the factory, you have found it. Unfortunately due to circumstances I have to let my prize finally go. I am selling a used car so car is sold as is where is with no warranties implied or given. Pickup is the buyer’s responsibility.
