I try to describe the positives & negatives of this vehicle accurately in this description. This is a 7-Day NO RESERVE auction for a 2001 Toyota Corolla S! HIGH BIDDER WINS! Huge MPG (39 Highway EPA Rating), Power Windows & Locks, Cold AC/Hot Heat!! Check out the pictures! Very affordable, reliable, easy to drive and maintain, and exceptional fuel economy are the main selling points of the Toyota Corolla. This Toyota was traded it at a new-car dealership in Ohio and I purchased the vehicle from them. We have put over 1200 miles on this vehicle, using it to run around the region and save gas. The inline 4-cylinder engine runs strong with great fuel economy. The automatic transmission shifts smooth with no issues at all. This Toyota has all the options you really need like power windows and locks, cruise control, automatic transmission, air conditioning and so much more. The "S" package gives you nicer gauges, better seats, and a nice sporty steering wheel. Mechanically, this Toyota is in pretty good condition. Engine & Transmission are in good shape. I have not noticed any leaks on the ground where this Toyota has been sitting, but like most older Corollas it does burn a little oil (occasional puff of smoke when you start it and rev high & cold, but otherwise you don't see any smoke). There is a little lifter noise on a cold start but once it warms up it smooths away. The brakes stop the car smooth and straight. While driving the steering components appear to be in good shape, tight and straight. The suspension is a bit rattly, I would suggest it needs a set of shocks/struts in the near future if desired but can absolutely be driven the way it is. The tires are matching size of 185/65/14 Guardsman Plus mounted on factory alloy wheels. There is some tread remaining (see pictures). The vehicle drives straight down the road. There is a slight but noticeable vibration above 60 MPH. Aside from the clunky struts, this vehicle drives quite nicely for its age and mileage. All the power options work like they should including the aftermarket sunroof. The climate control works and this Toyota blows air on all blower levels and wherever you want it to (vents, defroster, etc). The AC is blowing cold and the heat is hot. The Toyota is equipped with aftermarket Pioneer DEH-2800MP Radio AM/FM/CD - the radio powers up great and sounds good. The check engine light has come on and gone off while we've been driving it, but it been on for the last several hundred miles - I never got a chance to read the codes. There are no other warning lights illuminated. All of the gauges read properly and there are no abnormal readings. The engine runs smooth with no lack of power at all except for a very slight hesitation when first started occasionally. Overall, a good running economy car that I would drive pretty much anywhere! Cosmetically -- this car is in good shape. Aside from some normal dings here and there, the only notable exterior damage is to the passenger rear quarter panel has a small but noticeable dent. There is also some rust around this dent and the passenger rear wheel well but it has very little rust compared to most Corollas of this vintage. It is a pretty sharp looking little car with the alloy wheels and spoiler. The interior is similarly in nice shape. No tears, rips, or burns. No abnormal discoloration in the carpets and they show nicely. The only negative I could find about the interior is the headliner is starting to come separated near the rear window edge but could probably easily be glued back up. Check out the pictures - they speak for themselves! I have tried to capture both the positives and the flaws in those pictures. Overall, this is a nice little Toyota that will save you a ton of gas and look good doing it! I have tried my best to represent this vehicle accurately and to the best of my abilities. Earning and keeping a 100% positive feedback rating is very important to me! I purchase most of my vehicles as trade-ins from new car dealerships as traded. I test drive each vehicle on the expressway and around town for at least 20 miles, often over 100 miles, and use that experience to represent the vehicle to you on eBay. Please remember that you are buying a used vehicle and that a certain amount of wear/use/flaws are to be expected on any used vehicle -- including this one.
