2008 Saturn Astra XE for sale by owner, who no longer drives. I purchased this car new in 2009 at JL Sullivan Chevrolet, Roseville, CA. The car runs well and has lower than average mileage, currently at 63,794 miles. The interior is in very good to excellent condition, and the body is in fair condition with some dings and a loose front bumper. I had a buyer lined up and took the car to be smogged. The car failed smog for NOx only at 15 mph, not 25 mph. I then took the car to Elk Grove Chevrolet, and they told me I needed a new brake booster and an O2 sensor. Finally, I took the car to Black Rock Auto for a second opinion, and was told that the brake booster diaphragm had a hole and I may or may not need an O2 sensor. The repair estimate from the dealer (Elk Grove Chevrolet) was $1,500 for both the brake booster and O2 sensor. Note: the check engine light was not on before or during the smog check and the car still runs without the check engine light on. I'm selling this car as-is, with no warranties outside the factory warranties still in place. Again, the car drives well, and I was unaware there were any issues until the car failed smog.
