1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 25-speed manualMatching numbers154,7XX miles~14,958 on 3.8 rebuilt (original) motor MSG ME FOR MORE PICTURES, CAR FAX, ENGINE BUILD, ETC. Summary: Up for sale is my 1990 Porsche Carrera 2, type 964 of the 911 series. I will try to be as descriptive as possible, but please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I have owned this car since early this year. The car has a five speed manual transmission and is in very rare, $2000 optioned, Slate Grey Metallic color. The original engine has been expanded from 3.6L to a RSR Spec 3.8L, using all high quality parts ($26k+ in receipts for engine alone). I have full records for the car dating back to 1995, including the complete build. This car was originally a California car, made its way to the South and has since returned. Current miles on chassis is 154,7XX. The engine was rebuilt at 139,742 in 2008. Roughly 14,958 miles on the new engine. Before I dig deeper, I’d like to go ahead and get out of the way that this car is NOT for the average Porsche purest. It has been heavily modified for dual duty street and track use. That being said, neither I nor the previous owner have brought it to the track. When I purchased the car, I spoke with the individual who built the car in Georgia (two owners ago) and he said he had only had five track hours on the engine. To my knowledge it never participated in any races. The best way to describe this car in one word is BEAST. It is all business. Drivetrain: As mentioned above, the engine is a 3.6L expanded to a RSR spec 3.8L mated with a recently rebuilt 915 five speed. It was built by Kinetic and Graham Everett Motorsports in Georgia. I was told it produces roughly 280 whp with stock cams, and if swapped for race cams, it would yield significantly more power. The build includes the Mahle 3.8 Piston and Cylinder kit, Carrillo rods, Smart rod bearings, ARP Bolts, knifed edged/drilled crank, Weltmeister single pulley hub, Titanium springs and retainers, port and polish, GT3 Oil Pump, Bosch injectors, rebuilt distributors, new crank bearings, rebuilt lower pully/harmonic balancer, Wevo mounts, lightweight RS flywheel, Motronic DME, Mappying by Steve Weiner, dual front auxiliary oil coolers, RSR Rennline Engine Carrier, RSR transmission mounts, and RS clutch. Phew, that was quite a mouth full. The engine does have one drop of oil every other drive, which I think may be coming from the top of the engine. I never noticed a change in the oil level because of this. The car really pulls hard, and is tuned for 93 octane. It sounds absolutely amazing with a stock exhaust, stock heat exchangers, gutted J-pipe and Fabspeed Euro Resonator/Catalytic delete. I will include a Catalytic converter for those needing a smog inspection. The transmission does have a short shift kit as well. All fluids changed < 100 miles ago. The last three owners and I have always used Brad Penn oil to ensure sufficient Zinc and Phosphorus levels. Suspension/Brakes: The car is planted on JIC Comp coilovers with rear remote adjusters, and comes to a halt with 993 Turbo front brakes and 968 rear brakes. A 993 Turbo Brake Master Cylinder w/ Brake Biased Adjuster help all the pieces of the brake system work in synergy. Pads are EBC Blue Stuff for street driving. Urethane bushings all around help make the steering insanely direct. And finally, a set of super wide 18x10.5 Front, 18x11.5 Rear CCW C14 18” wheels with Toyo RA-1s give the car an ‘all-business’ look. The brake pedal assembly was recently rebuilt and the clutch slave, clutch master cylinder were all replaced <100 miles ago. Fluid is Motul 600. The car also features RS sway bars and Elephant racing spring plate monoballs. Exterior: The car was special ordered in very rare Slate Grey Metallic color. This is the same color that Steve McQueen ordered his car in (except matte)! It has a beautiful flat-looking hue at night, and reflective gloss during the day. The exterior does have several small scratches and dents on the hood and doors, which expected from a 23 year old car, but nothing a paintless dent repair could take care of. The worst blemish on the car is a sloppy fender roll done by the previous previous owner’s shop. I have touched it up, and it is barely noticeable from 5-10 feet. The wing, I never particularly liked, is a classic RS-style wing. The paint on the wing isn’t the best, as it has a slight fade at the top, but as far as color goes, it is a perfect match. I would swap to an original wing, if I kept the car. There is no rust on the car, and the underbody is spotless. Interior: The interior is a great place to be. It has matching Recaro SPG Pole Positions w/ a proper RS seat belt receiver mod, so that standard seat belts can be used. The previous owner put in all new RS carpeting, deleted the rear seats and converted the interior to black. There is also a safe battery pull in the dash which replaces the radio. The steering wheel is a brand new Mod-07 steering wheel, which I recently put in. No cracks or blemishes on the dash at all. Rennline mats will be included, and the pedals have already been installed. No A/C. No Radio. Battery pull to kill power and cool shirt system is in place of the radio. Closing remarks: With that, I have no doubt that the next owner of this car will be very happy with his/her purchase. Please do keep in mind that this car is 24 years old and will need some loving along the way, what P-car doesn’t right? As I previously mentioned, I am pursuing vintage racing so the sale of this car will help fund my racing. I am putting this on eBay to reach mass audiences as I’d like a seamless transaction. I can accommodate PPI’s but cannot wait weeks for a Porsche specialist to be available. Please be ready to book auto transport immediately following the sale of this car, and we can discuss further payment details as needed. I AM NOT interested in further negotiation after you win the bid, you win you buy. Simple as that. All I ask is for a smooth transaction and that we do not waste each other’s time. I’m very busy, but very open to speaking with people about the car. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME FOR ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS VIA EBAY MESSAGING. I WILL PROVIDE A CONTACT NUMBER. PAYMENT MUST BE MADE BY BANK TRANSFER ONLY. I WILL NOT SHIP THE CAR UNTIL THE BANK HAS CLEARED. BUYER MUST SEND FUNDS WITHIN 48 HOURS OF END OF AUCTION, AND ARRANGE SHIPPING WITHIN 10 DAYS OF SALE. I'D HIGHLY SUGGEST INTERCITY LINES.On Nov-21-14 at 12:54:18 PST, seller added the following information: Clarification on A/C - the A/C does not have freon, but all items are there to get it working. It was updated to accept the later more common Freon (the exact name escapes me).On Nov-21-14 at 14:11:03 PST, seller added the following information: CORRECTION: The car has an original rebuilt G50 Transmission, NOT the 915 gearbox stated in the description. On Nov-21-14 at 17:30:53 PST, seller added the following information: VIDEO: EXTRA PHOTOS: You can access my Box Folder here: app.box.com/porsche964On Nov-24-14 at 10:20:40 PST, seller added the following information: CAR IS LOCATED IN LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA. 94024.On Nov-26-14 at 15:57:11 PST, seller added the following information: Corrections: Car does indeed have factory heat exchangers - the ones pictured were a Fabspeed set the previous owner had on, that have since been removed. Documentation: Documentation goes back to 1995. On Nov-26-14 at 18:16:31 PST, seller added the following information: Undercarriage: No rust or damage! The black is some sort of soot - not oil stains or rust.
