This truck was originally a blackpaint w/green interior. WHAT YOUR BIDDING ON IS A 1956 GMC short, big window deluxe cab, 6 cyl, 3 speed column shift. Best I can tell, this is a 3 owner pickup. Has always been in Oklahoma. I have the original issue 1956 title from GMC dealer, also photos of the frame on restoration done in the early 1990s. This truck runs (I drove it about 50 miles) drives and stops great! Here's a list of just some of the new items: tires, gaskets, seals, thermostat, hoses, belt, carb kit, door latches & mechanisms, handles, etc. This pickup is very original, check this out: original & correct under hood braces that only GMC trucks got, are still there (see photos), glass bowl fuel pump/filter, original battery tray, you can see the original black paint and grease pencil asssembly line markings on the firewall!! Original LOF factory glass, including Back glass & windshield, not drivers door. 95% of the original factory paint is still inside cab, check out the original paint on steering wheel & column...GREAT Patina!! Radio delete plate still there, never drilled for radio or antenna. Still have original dealer issued ignition key(#B672) that works ignition and locks door!! Options: 2 speed heater, cigerette lighter & ashtray, guide day-night mirror, duel arm rest, duel sunvisors. See photos of gauges working while truck is running, oil 45 lbs at start up and 30 lbs when warmed up. Holds 50-60 lbs. when driving, motor sounds very good. I think it has been rebuilt. Fuel gauge works, generator light works, temp gauge is unhooked, for the after market under dash temp gauge. Lights work, including brake light, horn works, 2-speed electric wipers work. Very solid truck, no rust over the headlights, very solid floors, see photos of floors & steps. Doors & hinges are very solid and close tight. Some rust in cab corners but not terribly bad. Still has original factory jack & the spare tire is still under mounted at rear of bed. THIS TRUCK WAS A FACTORY BLACK EXTERIOR WITH GREEN TUTONE INTERIOR.
