Vehicle Detail

1970 International Scout 800A 304 V8 Automatic Brakes Plus just installed a new master cylinder, brake line, front drums and new pads with a limited lifetime warranty are backed up with like new TOYO 31x10.5 Open Country radial tires. This gives "Rhino" what it takes on or offroad. Vintage Air system has been installed by utilizing a uber rare factory AC braket, a must have for Texas wheeling or using it as a daily driver. Engine cooling has been improved with a modern flex fan. Swing out Kayline spare tire system was installed by the dealership when this truck was new, another really rarity on the 800A. Factory roll bar (show bar) has been added by me. Drivers side fuel tank hose has been replaced with an OEM replacement. Comes with the Travel Top, Bikini Top and a very rare pickup cab top. The Scout is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction if it sells. The transmission is a factory Borg Warner that was rebuilt for me by 'The Transmission Shop'. They also rebuilt the transfer case so the truck not only shifts great but the four wheel drive works like a charm. Just try to stop this Scout. The original seat belts were replaced with DOT approved belts that work better than OEM as well. The door hinges were replaced with brand new OEM hinges along with chrome allen head bolts and quick release pins. So when you want to take the doors off it's literally a 60 second effort. Pop the doors, put on the bikini top and hit the beach. I bought new gauges from ScoutParts.com, special ones that look just like original equipment including speedometer, oil pressure, ammeter, water temp and fuel gauge. The history on this Scout is unique as well, it was originally sold in Irving, TX and lived most of it's life in the West Texas desert. The nice dry climate gave this Scout the best chance at fighting rust of any 800 in original condition that I've seen. It was purchased by me and shipped to Dallas from West Texas in 2012. I've spent the last two years enjoying the truck and improving it. Bottom line if you want a NICE Scout 800 that starts, stops and is really good shape this is the one you want.
