This GTI has been well maintained - all service by my local dealer (90k service already done) with receipts. If you're looking at GTIs, you already know they're a ball to drive. With 200 HP and just 3200 LB or so, they're quick and handle great. The reviews in all the car mags are always terrific - many 10 Best lists. I'd wanted one since they first came out in the 70's and finally got this one (my wife has a 2012 GTI since she liked mine so much) new in '09. This is a Mk V, a bit more visceral than the Mk VI. The interior is immaculate and the exterior is excellent with the exception of: small crack in the front air dam and curb rash on the wheels (common due to the wheels protruding beyond the tires). Otherwise: paint is excellent, glass is crack free, headlights are new. Tires are Michelin X-ice with better than half the tread left according to the rep at Discount Tire. This car has been great in our Michigan Winters. The CD changer (6) has been serviced recently and the fuel pump module replaced (also common). I've enjoyed this car's sports car performance and hatchback convenience thoroughly but must sell it now since we are in a condo with a garage that has no room for it.
