SELLING OFF A BEAUTIFUL COLLECTION OF LOW MILE JEEP GRAND WAGONEERS ! .............................................................................................................................................................................................. Synonymous with go-anywhere utility, the full-sized, wood-sided Jeep Grand Wagoneer was probably the ultimate expression of traditional Jeep values. Stuffing it full of leather and power accessories only made the world’s most beloved 4x4 more popular, both when it was new and today, and finding good examples is getting more difficult all the time. That’s why this 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is so popular around here: it’s like having your cake and eating it, too, and you can even do it in a snow storm...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Few vehicles are more distinctive, and this nicely preserved late Grand Wagoneer shows just 73,820 original miles, which is under 3000 miles a year. The low miles are confirmed by the current Actual Mile Ohio Title along with AutoCheck which likewise confirms no accidents. That’s pretty cool. We are talking about just two long term owners that kept everything from the original Bill of Sale  ($28,615 back in 1990...wow), Original Owner's Manual, Original Warranty Booklet, Original dealer folder with numerous and irreverent historical documentation and on and on. All saved and brought to your attention, kind reader, so you may understand the level of care this Wagoneer enjoyed over these past 25 years.  The paint is a pleasing, low-key color called Sand Metallic, which isn't very exciting name but looks better than it sounds when you finally see it in person. There’s plenty of sheet metal here, all of it in very good condition overall and thanks to having more than two decades to perfect their work, the Jeep guys put it together better than most. The doors open and close easily, the hood fits properly, and the wood trim remains firmly affixed to the bodywork with minimal fading. With the exception of a 1/2 a pinky size area on one piece of that wood trim, (which is pictured), the wood trimmings are in remarkably beautiful condition. That wood is a big part of why these trucks remain so popular, an old-school look which, by 1990, was an anachronism but today plays as well as real vintage woodies with the motoring public. Nice chrome details like the familiar Wagoneer grille, heavy-duty bumpers, and window trim all recall a simpler era when the amount of chrome you wore was directly proportional the cost of purchase.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................  The last of the Grand Wagoneers was Jeep’s top-of-the-line and as a result was filled with every luxury and convenience feature AMC (and later Chrysler) could come up with. That means supportive leather-lined seats (power actuated, of course), A/C, power windows and the most versatile 4-wheel-drive system in the business, proving once again that going anywhere, anytime is the ultimate luxury. The cruise control and power door locks are not working at this time and, full disclosure here, they almost never did even when these Jeeps were new)  The high-back buckets remain in very good condition with their comfortable fabric inserts, the plush carpets feel thick under your feet and help control noise and heat, and there’s almost as much faux timber inside as outside with a nicely finished dash and matching door panels. A fairly comprehensive array of gauges show crisp, bright markings and while the A/C ducts are under the dash where they don’t interrupt the smooth lines of the instrument panel. A modern AM/FM/CD stereo system replaces the original setup and even the steering wheel is in remarkably well-preserved shape. The back seat is spacious enough for two and even three passengers in a pinch, and they can all bring everything with them thanks to the cavernous cargo bay with neat stainless rub strips and a privacy shade to keep your stuff hidden............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... The only power plant available in the Grand Wagoneer was a 360 cubic inch V8 that had been a mainstay in the big Jeeps for decades. Torquey and ideally suited to pulling around 5000 pounds of 4x4, it’s the exact right tool for the job. With just over 73,000 original miles, this one is still in the prime of its life and runs superbly, starting easily and pulling with enthusiasm while never seeming to work very hard. It’s buried under a maze of emissions and air conditioning equipment, but it’s actually quite easy to service and parts are very readily available, which is why these trucks remain so enormously popular after all these years. Power steering and power disc brakes make this big truck easy to handle even in tight parking lots and there’s a pleasing V8 burble from the exhaust system. The only transmission available was a 3-speed automatic linked to Jeep’s Quadra-Track 4-wheel-drive system, which offered both high and low ranges as well as a full-time option, making it extraordinarily versatile. The undercarriage is in good order, although not detailed for show, and it sits on a set of flashy aftermarket aluminum wheels that are certainly easier to clean than the factory multi-spoke pieces. The 225/75/15 Michelin off-road radials are fitted, so it’s ready to hit the road or the trails today...If your a serious and ready buyer, ring my voice mail directly at 724-996-1288 and I will return the call.
