I'm looking to sell a 1975 Fiat Spider parts car. As with most parts cars, it could become a whole car again if someone wants to put the time and money into it. Car currently resides in Westminster, MD. Contact me if you need exact VIN for some reason. I bought the car 5 years ago to tinker with, stripped the paint, and started down the path of sorting the mechanicals. I drove it a few dozen times, the car ran well and was very reliable. Then I found the rust around the front shock towers. Removing the paint showed that the car was lucky enough to get hit on all sides. Yikes! By this time I had purchased a second car and this car became my 'parts car'. Dashboard and rear brake calipers went first, then a few screws here and there. Car still has: Running Motor (hasn't started for over a year, when the battery finally died) Transmission Surprisingly good seats. They might be covered, but are in good shape Original carpet, needs to be either cleaned REALLY well or replaced all lights, grills, most trim from what I can tell windshield, not too cloudy around the edges, small chip on passenger side Convertible top frame 4 dry rotted and leaky tires Removed from car: Dashboard (swapped into another car). I'm throwing in the cracked 1981 dash, maybe it can be used. rear calipers should be replaced (originals in trunk) bumpers are gone back seat is gone no mirrors fabric from convertible top, and some hardware may be missing I can provide links to the car running and being driven 4 years ago if desired. The entire car has been coated in rust inhibitor to keep it from rusting while I started doing mechanical work. Of course all of the lights, trim pieces, and anything else I have will come with the car. Every time I removed something from the car, I put the screws in a labelled bag. I'm sure somebody can use something from this car. I'm not interested in parting out the car at this point, just unloading the whole thing. Proceeds will be used to keep my newer spider going for some time. Car was last driven 2011, and last ran in 2012. Asking 750 reserve to 1000 'buy it now' but will entertain other offers. If the car doesn't sell, I'll part it out. Has a clean title! BRING A TRAILER! We'll either have to winch or push this car onto it. Cannot be started currently, battery dead and dashboard out. Also, the rear calipers were frozen solid, so the car has NO BRAKES, including parking break. Rolling on and off of a trailer must be done carefully. Using a Dolly might be better, but again, the tires are ... questionable.
