Check out this 1987 BMW 325i Convertible with a 5-Speed Manual Transmission! As you probably know, the E30 BMW is one of the more desirable cars out there, especially when equipped with a manual transmission! They are fun little cars and I very much understand why they are so popular! The body and exterior on this one are in really nice shape, very clean for its year and miles. While it isn't a restored perfect car, it really deserves your consideration if you are looking for a decent BMW E30 convertible. This BMW was traded it at a new-car dealership in Michigan and I purchased the vehicle from them. I have driven it for the last 80 miles and it runs and drives pretty nice for a vehicle of its year and mileage. The inline 6-cylinder engine runs strong with respectable fuel economy. The manual transmission shifts into and out of all the gears smoothly and the clutch holds strong. Mechanically, this BMW is in pretty good condition. The engine runs strong but does have a little valve noise and could probably use a valve adjustment...I tried to capture this in the YouTube video. The engine runs good and smooth under power but does have a tendency to idle a little rough or a little high RPMS. The transmission and clutch is strong but there is a little bearing noise when the clutch pedal is not depressed with no load on the engine. There is also a little play in the shifter when in gear, but I have never had trouble finding a gear or getting out of it. I had this BMW parked inside for a couple of days and did not notice any leaks on the ground where this BMW has been sitting. The brakes stop the car efficiently and straight, there is a slight pulsation when stopping that may bother particular buyers but isn't very bad. While driving the steering components appear to be in good shape, tight and straight. The suspension appears to be in decent shape and holds the road nicely with no noticeable or abnormal noises except for maybe a little rattle out of the right rear. With any 25+ year old car with 200K miles, some buyers may want to upgrade the suspension. The tires are all in excellent condition nearly new BF Goodrich Touring T/A 185/70/14 (see pictures) mounted on factory "bottle-cap" alloy wheels in good condition. The spare tire is missing. The vehicle drives straight down the road. There is a slight vibration above 65 MPH but not that bad. Overall, this vehicle drives quite nicely for its age and mileage. The climate control works on this BMW blows air on all blower levels and wherever you want it to (vents, defroster, etc). The heat is hot and works well, but I haven't tested the A/C. The BMW is equipped with AM/FM/Cassette - however the code is required to unlock the radio. The check engine light pops on at idle, but goes away with any blip of the throttle...I do not know why. All of the dash gauges read properly and there are no abnormal readings, although the overhead console warning lights do not appear to be working. As with any 25+ year old unrestored vehicle, there are small little issues here and there that I've noticed like the fog lights don't appear to be working, the passenger side sun visor won't stay up, the glove box won't open, the right rear window sometimes needs a little help to go up and down, and I can't get the cruise control to work. The on-board-computer display is working and the buttons respond, but the information it displays doesn't make any sense (it says its -30 degrees outside). Cosmetically -- the body and exterior look very nice. There aren't any significant dents or damages and the paint looks nice all the way around. It is nearly rust free. It's been a driver's car, so please expect some small dents and scratches with age but nothing unusual. The convertible top is in nice shape and looks like it's probably been replaced somewhat recently. The only issues with the top are a small imperfection behind the passenger side window (See pic) and it is missing a piece of weather stripping along the top of the driver's side window. I drove it in the rain and it does not appear to leak (aside from the occasional small bit of water that blew in where the weatherstrip is missing). There is a 1" crack in the windshield above the mirror that is essentially not noticeable. The interior could use a bit of work. This vehicle features rare two-tone cloth sport seats that are in generally worn condition. The recline on the passenger seat has trouble staying up when you put weight on it. The carpets are in decent condition and a detailed cleaning would make them look good. Check out the pictures - they speak for themselves! I have tried to capture both the positives and the flaws in those pictures. This car gets plenty of looks and admiration going down the road - it is rare to see them looking this nice after so many years. Either drive it the way it is or fix up some of the little things on this BMW, this is a near-classic car that you will be proud to own! I have tried my best to represent this vehicle accurately and to the best of my abilities. Earning and keeping a 100% positive feedback rating is very important to me! I purchase most of my vehicles as trade-ins from new car dealerships as traded. I test drive each vehicle on the expressway and around town for at least 20 miles, often over 100 miles, and use that experience to represent the vehicle to you on eBay.
