Vehicle Detail
1993 Volkswagen Eurovan, diesel engine, manual 5-speed transmission. One of a kind find, and much newer than the diesel Vanagons from1982!This van was imported from Montreal, Canada where diesel Eurovans were made in the 90's. Clean importation status and clear title. I have a CarFax from this vehicle from last year which I can provide and it is totally clear. The engine is a 2.4L IDI diesel engine, I believe the VW engine code is AAB.I intended to eventually convert this van to veggie oil for camping and trips, but my wife now works out of town and needs a commuter car for work so we have decided to sell it since it is currently our only vehicle.Comes with full sound system, CD player with aux input! The van is in good mechanical shape, has some cosmetic issues but fires up strong and everything works. Since it is originally from Montreal, there is rust on the body panels. Also please not visible scratch/dent in the side shot of the vehicle. I did have it checked out by a mechanic before I purchased it who assured me that the chassis is in good shape. Since being imported from Canada in 2008 it has been quite stable.Tires have good tread on them, including 2 cargo tires which cost $375 each when new!I have a stack of receipts for recent work done on this vehicle, including:Replaced injector lines and radiator hoses within the last few monthsNew heater block and alternator in 20114 new shock absorbers in 2010New master cylinder, calipers, and mufflers at 260,000 milesNew clutch at 210,000 miles. I can provide scans of these receipts and others if requested. I am also willing to take the vehicle to a shop of your choice in the Portland area for an inspection if you want (buyer's expense). Also willing to provide additional pictures of specific areas of the vehicle if requested and happy to answer any questions you may have about it. Thanks for looking! On Nov-03-14 at 20:37:34 PST, seller added the following information: **PLEASE NOTE REGARDING THE TITLE** eBay's title check has flagged the vehicle as "grey market". If you read the description provided of what this means, it simply means that the vehicle was imported. The importation was performed in 2008 and was 100% legal. I can provide scans of the importation paperwork if desired. I had no trouble registering this vehicle when I purchased it. The vehicle is 100% legal to drive in the US. Since no diesel Eurovans were made in the US, an imported model is the only way to get one :-)On Nov-06-14 at 18:48:47 PST, seller added the following information: **EDIT** - after re-reading the receipts, I see that it was the clutch mount that was replaced at 210,000 miles, not the clutch itself. Sorry for any confusion. The van has no problems shifting. After some requests from users for additional photos of the rust and dent, I have posted several more photos of the van. Please note there is some window tinting on one side of the van that I will remove before the vehicle is sold. I have also included photos of receipts for work on the van and the importation paperwork as well. Please continue to send additional questions if you have any, thanks for looking!
