History o The X-90 is based on the two-door Suzuki Sidekick SUV, and shares that vehicle's underpinnings and basic dimensions. Intended to replace the Samurai as a small, sporty off-roader, the X-90 debuted in 1996 following a well-received concept vehicle. Unlike most sport-utility vehicles, the X-90 featured a trunk and two-passenger seating rather than an open cargo area. Removable T-top panels over the front seats provided open-air motoring as well. The X-90 met limited appeal in the marketplace, and just over 7,200 were built during its three-year production run that ended in 1998. Leftover 1998 models were sold throughout 1999. Powertrain o The Suzuki X-90 is powered by a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine. This single overhead-cam, 16-valve engine produces 95 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 98 foot-pounds of torque at 4,000 rpm. A five-speed manual transmission was standard on all X-90s, with an optional four-speed automatic available in four-wheel-drive models. The X-90 is available with rear- or four-wheel drive. Fuel capacity is 11.1 U.S. gallons. Fuel economy is rated at 25 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway. Suspension o The X-90's suspension is fully independent and similar to that of the Suzuki Sidekick, though spring rates are different to give the X-90 a more pavement-friendly ride. MacPherson struts are used in the front, with wishbone-type arms and trailing links at the rear. The track is also widened compared to the Sidekick. A recirculating-ball steering gear is used. Anti-lock brakes are standard equipment. Dimensions o The X-90 is a compact vehicle, with an overall length of 146.1 inches, a width of 66.7 inches and a height of 60.5 inches. The car rides on an 86.6-inch wheelbase, and curb weight measurements range from 2,300 to 2,500 pounds depending on the model year. The trunk holds up to 8.4 cubic feet of cargo. Up for sale is my Suzuki X-90 Sport Vehicle. I have too many toys now that we have moved into a smaller place so this little unique gem has to go. It has always been a head turner with plenty of positive remarks and is very fun to drive! These have become a highly sought after rare vehicle since they were only made from 1996-1998. People with motor homes really like them since they are easy and small to pull behind for a spare run around vehicle that gets good gas mileage. I have no doubt that if car manufacturers still made cars like these today, they would be a very hot item due to there uniqueness!! It is a solid vehicle and has treated me well over the years. I bought it used several years ago with about 50k miles on it. Has some issues here and there but for the age and miles is in pretty good shape. Has some dings & dents, NO major rust, clear coat coming off in a few spots(mainly front & roof behind T-tops see pix). Power windows are slow & sluggish but probably just need lubricating. The A/C has always worked fine & is COLD! I don't have it licensed or insured now since I haven't driven for awhile, so buyer should plan on pulling it home with with a tow bar or you can trailer it home. Serious bidders only!! Sold AS IS. It's not a new vehicle so don't expect it to be perfect. I've tried to describe the problems I'm aware of the best I could. If you feel this has too many issues that you would like to deal with then don't bid! Good luck finding another though since they have become very rare especially with this low of mileage.
