Here is a working, very drive-able 1998 Dodge Ram 3500 extended cargo van that has been used as a handy-man & paint contractor work van since purchase. I am the second owner and still know the man that sold it to me years ago. It was originally purchased in Detroit, MI. In Detroit, they salt the roads heavily, and therefore this van has substantial rust to the chassis and lower body. I am listing this as a parts van for this reason. The drive train is excellent, both engine and transmission. No oil leaks at all in either one. Engine runs strong and like new and transmission is flawlessly smooth and reliable (as is the rear end) The cost of a replacement engine and transmission would be in the mid thousands but I am listing this one low and to the winner goes a great drive train. It also has many other great parts. Seats are just about perfect. Radio works. Electric mirrors work. Comes with a 1000 watt power inverter. No rust at all on doors although the locks need work. Full size spare and jack. Air conditioner sadly gave up the ghost but the heater works fine. Engine does not smoke at all but uses about 1 quart of oil every 1000 miles. Radiator has micro leak at bottom drain valve but not in core. Needs checking every 2 weeks or so. Tires have chrome rims and have about 1/3 tread remaining. 1 tail light lens is broken but are easy to come by at a junk yard. Windshield is cracked and has been since I bought it 6 years ago. Interior cab and cargo area have no leaks at all. Cargo area has holes in floor from rust so small items may be lost but surprisingly no water gets in on a rainy day. This van can drive and stop with no worries and starts beautifully. It has been maintained mechanically. As stated earlier, The body and chassis have substantial rust / cancer on lower areas.
