Vehicle Detail
1936 FORD VINTAGE RACE CAR For your consideration is a 1936 Ford Tudor Sedan Stock Car which has been preserved as run at Meridian Speedway, Boise Id. circa 1953-54. Built back in the day when even “Saturday Night Specials” were rust free, this car is solid and still features the original sheet metal through out including the floor pans and rockers. This original racer was restored and painted back in the 80’s and placed in a Museum until 3 years ago. Once out of the Museum, the seat, headers, and gas tank were replaced with era correct improved quality components. The addition of new 5 point restraints allowed it to be run in Vintage Races. The car utilizes 1940 Ford front and rear axles and suspension components and hydraulic brakes. Wide 5 “reverse” 1937 wheel centers on Buick rims maintain the era correct appearance. The “back in the day” front shock conversion include the vintage front mounting brackets as pictured. The 8BA engine is stock and provides about as much thrill as you will probably want. The car is fun to drive on both the road and on the track although lights…front and rear ….are strongly recommended before attending the local drive in where you will be noticed for sure!
