I am selling a 1965 Mustang Base V6. I purchased this vehicle on eBay several months ago as a project for my father and myself. Unfortunately, I had a catastrophic engine failure in my daily driver and had to commit the funds I had set aside to fix that. I am going to provide the information given to me when I purchased this vehicle. I am not a mechanic and I cannot confirm or deny that the information is 100% accurate. The following information (in bold/blue) is from the previous seller: The following has been done with the car: Engine: Complete rebuild. New pistons, rings, bearings, valves and seals. New timing chain and gears. Head was checked/tested at the same time. All new gaskets, motor mounts, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor and coil. An under hood oil pressure gauge was added to keep track of the oil pressure on the newly rebuilt engine. Engine currently has less than 2000 miles since the rebuild. Coolant temperature gauge was added under the dash at that time also. Fuel system: Fuel tank was flushed out, new fuel sending unit was installed. New fuel pump and lines also. New carburetor (not a reman) was also installed. New air and fuel filter. Cooling system: New hoses, water pump, heater core and thermostat. All temp control cables cleaned and lubed. Radiator professionally flushed and tested for leaks. New radiator cap and overflow tank. Electric cooling fan with thermostat installed. Heat works great! Drivetrain: Transmission flushed and tested. New transmission lines and hoses. New vacuum modulator and hose. Rear pinion seal replaced, as well as rear axle serviced. New u-joints on driveshaft. Exhaust: Brand new from engine to tailpipes. New hangers also (professionally installed). Brakes: Master cylinder was upgraded to a "dual bowl". New drums, brake shoes and spring kits/hardware. All new brake hoses and lines at all four corners. Lighting/Electrical: New headlights and tail light bulbs. Dash bulbs and turn signals work well. New battery with cut-off switch and new cables down to the starter. New alternator with integral voltage regulator. Suspension: New front wheel bearings (both), ball joints, complete control arm on driver's side (passenger side checked out ok). New shock tower on passenger side. Complete new frame rail and engine bay side walls. Front end alignment. Wheels/Tires: New 14" tires, wheels and hubcaps (original 13" set was upgraded). Old spare with original jack and lug wrench included. Body: The hood, fenders and grille were sandblasted and primed. The front and rear valence are new. The quarter panels are also new. The doors are in good shape (no rust). The inner wheelhouses were not replaced on any of the wheels. The front frame rails have been repaired on both sides. All 4 floor pans have been replaced. Some prior work was done to the rear prior to our ownership. The trunk has new extension pans and a new liner. Trunk lid has new rubber gaskets/seals. All glass works and was removed and sealed. All door locks and cranks were removed and cleaned/lubed. New door handles on both doors. New stainless steel rocker trim, side scoops, door sills, rear bumper guards and supports. Paint: The car was painted approximately two years ago in a high quality midnight blue. The car has not been clear coated or waxed. A full set of Cobra white vinyl stripes will be included also. Interior: New carpet and seat covers (vinyl). New door panels, door handles and pulls. Remote mirror cleaned and fixed. Mustang radio works. Wiper work, but the washer pump does not. It has new washer hoses run, but pump is bad. The headliner in original and shows a bit of wear. Rear deck in fair shape with new speakers and grilles. Steering wheel is in great shape and the horn works. The dash has a few cracks in it, but still looks good. This car is 50 years old. It has some of the usual Mustang rust areas. It's a great car, but not a show car. Perfect car for the local cruise night! Back to me: Since I received the vehicle, I have replaced the radiator, the starter and the battery. The vehicle runs and drives great. The white stripes are still in the trunk. The vehicle is located in Arlington, TX. I will be happy to take the vehicle to any shop of your choosing for an inspection. You will be responsible for scheduling and paying for the inspection. The vehicle must be paid for in full either via Paypal, Bank Wire, Cashiers Check or Cash in Person PRIOR to loading onto the shipping carrier. You will be responsible for scheduling and paying for the vehicle shipment. I will work with your carrier to get the vehicle loaded safely. I will require a non-refundable down payment of $500 via Paypal within 24 hours of purchase. The balance will be due within 7 business days.
