This Ford Excursion runs & drives very well! This Excursion was traded in at a new-car dealership in SE Michigan and I purchased it from them. Great color combination that really looks nice! We have driven this vehicle for the last 70 miles and runs and drives quite nicely! The 6.8L V10 engine runs strong with plenty of power and torque. The automatic transmission shifts smooth with no issues at all. The 4x4 system appears to be in good working condition and makes no abnormal noises and the hubs rotate easily with your hand. This Ford is loaded with lots of options like 3rd row seating, power windows and locks, leather seats, cruise control, keyless entry, two-tone paint, front & rear heat/ac, alloy wheels, roof rack and so much more. Mechanically, this Excursion is in good condition. The engine has plenty of power with no check engine lights - only thing to note with the engine what sounds like a light lifter noise at idle and seems to quiet down noticeably after running the engine for a good while (I tried to capture it in the video when cold). The transmission is 100% and shifts great. I have not noticed any leaks on the ground where this Excursion has been sitting. The brakes stop the SUV smooth and straight. While driving the suspension components appears to be in decent shape - no rattles, no suspension noise. As is common with higher-mileage SuperDuty/Excursions the steering has a little play but it drives straight down the road, not bad at all for having over 200K, but there may be some work needed for buyers who are particular. The 4 matching Toyo Open Country 265/75/16 tires have some of tread remaining but not a ton (see pics). The tires in the front seem to be a little noisy and the vehicle drives straight down the road. No vibrations while driving, except particular buyers may notice slight tire vibration above 65 MPH (likely due to lower tread levels). Overall, this vehicle drives nicely for its age and mileage. Exhaust is sounds good and is throaty, just a very little bit of manifold leaking for the first minutes until it gets a little warm and then its quite quiet. All the power options work like they should. The climate control works and this Excursion blows air on all blower levels and wherever you want it to (vents, defroster, etc - front and rear), and the AC is blowing ICE COLD. The Ford is equipped with AM/FM/6-CD - the radio powers up great and sounds very good but the CD changer says "error" and doesn't work.. There are absolutely no check engine lights or other warning lights illuminated on the dash. All of the gauges read properly and there are no abnormal readings. The engine runs smooth with no lack of power at all. The keyless entry system appears to be working properly with the key fob, 2 keys and fobs included. Quite a nice running and driving vehicle, I would not hesitate to drive this one anywhere! Cosmetically -- this vehicle looks in nice shape. The exterior paint is in good condition. As is typical in most of these Excursions, there is a little rust on the rocker panels beneath the doors but this one isn't nearly that bad compared to most I've seen in Michigan. All glass and lenses are in-tact and in good condition with the exception of one "star" rock chip in the windshield that should be repairable (not a large crack yet). The bottom of the doors have duct tape on them that I did not remove, I would suspect there is some rust under there but it isn't showing through to the outside only on the inner door. The exterior is mostly rust-free, the only noticeable spot of rust is on the right rear wheel well and just behind the rear driver's side window. There are some cracks in the paint behind the right rear wheel towards the bumper. The interior is in very good condition with no rips or major discoloration, just very light cracking on the seats. There is a cover on the steering wheel that I haven't removed or looked underneath (sometimes steering wheels are perfect under there, sometimes they're ripped). For having the age and mileage it does, the interior is in very good shape. Check out the pictures - they speak for themselves! I have tried to capture both the positives and the flaws in those pictures. There are some small scratches and dent on the hood not nothing horrible (tried to capture in the pics). The overhead console is missing one of the blank folding covers. These are all relatively minor imperfections that are consistent with the vehicle age and mileage. Overall, this Excursion shows quite nice and will be a vehicle that you can be proud of! I have tried my best to represent this vehicle accurately and to the best of my abilities. Earning and keeping a 100% positive feedback rating is very important to me! I purchase most of my vehicles as trade-ins from new car dealerships as traded. I test drive each vehicle on the expressway and around town for at least 20 miles, often over 100 miles, and use that experience to represent the vehicle to you on eBay. Please remember that you are buying a used vehicle and that a certain amount of wear/use/flaws are to be expected on any used vehicle -- including this one.
